3. Wait for the idiot to propose--the ring will be valuable.

Hammer paused for a second, the cursor blinking where she last stopped typing. She'd placed recovering the medallion lowest on this list because she couldn't think of any way of getting it back without making the cops suspicious of her actual identity. There was no need for a new body-- Sarah DeVries or Kurt Hammer, he could access some of his bank accounts inconspicuously enough. Best to lay low now. Maybe for the rest of her life.
After considering the list carefully for a minute, Hammer committed it to memory and closed the file without saving it. She probably didn't need to--the cops didn't know anything yet--but old habits die hard, and her old habits were telling her not to leave the cops tracks between bodies.
