"I wish that, until I wish otherwise, I would be married to a person of my choice, the marriage was a loving, happy relationship and that the type of marriage that I was involved in would be legal and accepted in society. I wish that my wife was Karyn, my best friend."
As he said it, things began to shift. The world dissolved around him and reformed. He was sitting across the table from Karyn...and older Karyn. She had to be at least 25. He wondered what had happened, and then it occurred to him. It was easier for the wish to change him and Karyn than it was to change society about the idea of two teenagers getting married.
