This is crazy..

Drew started the car and was kind of thinking how kinky this all was , and that was maybe why she said yes. On the other hand, she couldn't remember the last time she'd been in skates and had never been very good. She was further starting to realize how crazy this was as she had never been a waiter/waitress before! Fortunately, she knew her way to the restaurant and had eaten there before. The weather was making the drive interesting, she almost hydroplaned a couple of times and traffic was slow, and the windshield wipers were going fast. She been in the car 30 minutes now and it should've only taken 15 and she still wasn't there yet! She was actually starting to worry about being late and panic for a moment. "Wait a minute!". "A) - I'm doing them a favor, I can't really be late, and B) - this isn't even my life!" "Who cares if I am 'late' ". She smiled a bit and relaxed a little, but started to have thoughts of bolting all the same. Finally after an hour of torrential rain, she finally arrived to find the lot actually packed! "Why in the world is it so busy in this crazy weather?!". She was really starting to regret answering that damn phone! She very reluctantly parked her car in an out of the way spot. She ran into the building splashing through puddles on the way , whisking open the door and getting inside. She'd already gotten soaked in her 10 second run just getting into the building! As she ran inside she saw mostly staff turn to look at her with a mixture of relief, worry, and humor as they saw how wet she was. A heavyset man with a tan shirt and pants and black tie with the restaurant logo on it was walking over to her saying "Thank God you're here!" "Oh I know it's nuts right now and your soaked, but there's extra uniforms in back and Rachel can help you find some and get started". "Thanks again!" and he walked off among the rest of the staff taking orders from people in the fortunately covered parking spots. It looked like there was a way to get to the cars under the covered parts but not if you were parking and walking in.
