(I really like Kylo's addition, but I had a slightly different plan already hatched)

It was already dark out when Karyn woke up. She didn't know what time it was, but she wasn't quite awake enough to want to check. She just wanted to get out of her day clothes and go back to bed.

Eyes not entirely open, Karyn pulled herself out of her jeans, tugged her sweater and T-shirt back over her head, and relied on muscle memory to toss them into the laundry basket. But where normally her muscle memory would have told her to toss towards the back corner by the bed, where a simple plastic hamper sat dutifully, in her foggy state, Karyn tossed the garments slightly in front of her, to her left.

And they landed neatly inside a white-painted wicker laundry basket with wooden heard cut-outs artfully glued to the front. Of course, in the darkness she couldn't see that.

Karyn's somnambulant stride brought her disrobed form to her dresser, where she opened the top-left drawer and withdrew a sleep shirt and a pair of pajama bottoms. She pulled them on, entirely unconcerned by the fact that her own pajamas were in a small pile on the floor between her bed and the empty plastic laundry hamper. Unaware that the pajama bottoms she was wearing were pink and covered in pictures of pouting red lips. Unaware that the sleep shirt she had donned had the word "Cheer!" emblazoned on the front. It was dark, and she was tired.

So she slipped her pajama-clad body between simple bed and luxuriant blanket and went back to sleep.

The next time Karyn woke up, it was still not quite morning yet. But this time she was genuinely awake and couldn't get herself to go back to bed, so she figured she may as well get an early start on the day. She clicked on her bedside lamp and swung her legs off the side of her bed to find them... covered in pink pajama bottoms?

She jumped off the bed and looked down at herself. When had she put these on? The vague memory of waking up just long enough to put on pajamas and go back to sleep came to her, but she had no memory of putting on this particular set. She had no memory of ever owning this particular set. She eyed her room with suspicion, suddenly remembering the events of the previous day. These must have belonged to Sarah or Kara before Karyn had unintentionally appropriated them. Just like most of the other things that were now in Karyn's room.

She sighed, absent-mindedly pulling on the pink bathrobe that had not been hanging on a hook on her door the previous morning, and grabbing an armful of soap and hair products she had never used before as she made her way to the bathroom for an early shower.

She just hadn't been thinking straight when she put these pajamas on. And she didn't have to wear them ever again. Just because she had all of these new things didn't mean she had to use them.

But even as that thought crossed her mind, it made her uncomfortable. No, she didn't technically have to use them, but... no, they weren't hers, there was no need to... that feeling again. Almost a guilt. She should be trying harder to make use of everything.

She dropped the newly-acquired bottles next to the sink, and their hollow plastic thuds against the marble counter top jarred her from her thoughts. Why had she grabbed these? Why was she wearing this pink bathrobe instead of her normal green one? It didn't really make too much difference, Karyn supposed. But she would have to keep an eye on these strange impulses.
