The caller ID said "Tammie." This made Drew immediately nervous, but she decided she should try and bluff her way through answering the phone. As she did, she noticed that the rain had stopped, and towards the north (away from the ice rink) it was beginning to clear out.
"Hello?" Drew said tentatively as she picked up the phone.
"Michelle!" a very excited female voice called back. "I thought I saw you walking to your dorm earlier today! I thought you were going away for your skating match! What happened? Why are you here?"
Drew had to compose herself as the voice spoke a mile a minute. Slowly, she tried to come up with a convincing lie. "Well, I was supposed to go, but I wasn't really feeling well and since it was just a scrimmage, the coach said it was better for me to stay back and get better rather than get the whole team sick."
"Ooooh, right. Well, that's great! With all this rain, my soccer practices have been canceled for today and tomorrow, so we get to go out! I'm almost to your dorm, then we can get ready and figure out where to go!"
Drew started to panic a bit. "Um, are you sure? I mean, it's probably pretty flooded all over and it is supposed to start raining again "
"Not until tonight!" the voice on the other end cut her off. "Besides, everything on the north side of the city is on far higher ground, and it's all still OK and opened already! Hey, I'm here, let me in so we can get ready!"
Drew desperately tried to think of something to get her out of this. "Um, hey Tammie, I just got out of the shower, so "
Tammie cut her off quickly. "Just toss on a towel and let me in. I'll help you pick out something to wear!"
"I'm really not feeling well "
"Come on, Shelly, let me in so we can get going! I want to have some fun today! We haven't been able to yet this year!"
A click and dial tone told Drew that Tammie, whoever she was, had hung up. She jumped a bit when she heard knocking on her dorm room door. Slowly, Drew set the cell phone down on her desk and walked over to the door. She glanced through the peephole and got her first look at Tammie.
She was about as tall as the new Drew, standing at about 5-4. She had blond hair and striking blue eyes, and was wearing a tight, midriff-bearing white shirt with a neckline that showed enough of her generous cleavage. She wore a short back skirt and black strap-on high heels, and Drew noticed she had painted her toenails and fingernails a bright blue. She had a naval piercing and had blue earrings on, and Drew found herself staring a bit. Michelle had been hot, but Tammie was a total knockout.
"Shelly? Come on, girl, open the door!" Tammie called again.
