The month passed in a very boring way... Joan should have wished she'd be Karyn's vagina for a day, not a month.
But eventually the month did end. She was suddenly Jon again, and she suddenly remembered being Jon. The idea of being a vagina held excitement for him again... now that he no longer thought he was a girl. And Jon still had the stone.

Someone (his mother, unknown to him) had had the stone for a month, and they must have made some wishes.
