His mother looked confused. "Okay. John, come down here, please!" she yelled.
When he saw his body walk down the stairs, Jon dropped the cigarette and stepped on it with a high heel. His body said, "I wish time freezes until I want it to resume except for 'Linda' and I here." Jane stood as still as a statue.
"You know about the rock?" Jon asked.
"Wait...YOU know about the rock?" Jon's body asked.
"What? It's because of that rock I'm stuck like this!" Jon exclaimed!
"Like what?" His body asked back.
"In Linda's body! I'm Jon!"
"No wonder that wish didn't seem to work."
The two discussed that both felt they were Jon. Recalling the original wish, they both knew the fantasy that needed to be fulfilled in order to return things back to normal.
The Jon in Linda's body groaned, "I'm not sure I can do that. What's going to happen when the wish is fulfilled anyway? Are we going to both go back to being you, and have two sets of memories? Am I going to stop existing? Or are you?"
"Well, we've only been two different people for a few minutes." The Jon in his own body retorted, "I mean, if one of us stops exisitng, it's more just like a little amnesia. I guess you could always just stay Linda forever..."
