Susan turned to Miss Lyons and said, “I swear I left him here before I came to talk to you.” “He can’t have gotten to far in the five minuets we have been talking. We will find him.” the deputy principle told the worried girl in front of her as the two of them started to look round the different rooms next to the main office.
Meanwhile a worried looking Tom turned to face the door of the room he was in that had just opened to be met with the familiar face of his friend Jody. Like him she was dressed in the uniform of the school. Tom opened his mouth to say hello to his friend. Only to be cut off by Mrs Mahoney.
“Ah Jody there you are. So good of you to show the two new girls to their classrooms.” Mrs Mahoney said to the newcomer. “Not a problem Mrs Mahoney, I am glad to help.” Jody replied. “I would have taken them myself, but I have to finish updating their school records before I get to the other work the Principle asked me to do for him.” The school secretary told the young girl in front of her. “Not to worry Mrs Mahoney its on my way to class.” Jody advised the older woman with a smile before turning to the two apparent girls in front of her.
“Come on girls we best be on our way. We don’t want you to be late on your first day.” Jody continued again with the same smile on her face. It was just then that Tom remembered Jody telling him on Friday that she had been asked by Mrs Mahoney to take the new students to their classrooms on Monday morning. He never thought remembering the conversation that he would be joining her on the journey.
Mrs Mahoney watched the three Girls walk out of the room through the door that Jody had just came in. She turned to go back to her desk only to see the other door to the room she was in to see Miss Lyons and Susan walk in.
