For Biff this was the first time she had ever visited the Madison House hold. Having Mikey back was certainly a good thing from all this though she felt a little guilty being given ‘anything’ as she really didn’t have anything to do with it. What was more uncomfortable for her though was glancing at a fellow changed person… and with wings of her own no less. Did that really make them birds of a feather? They were separated by age as much as their family circumstances and Biff didn’t feel any… connection as such.

The sphinx’s wings felt tired… and she couldn’t help but look at Mikey now and then much as she glanced back at her in turn. What the heck was Mikey thinking of the sphinx anyway? Did she look down on her for being only a human head on an animal body.. she didn’t really know what the young changed folk thought. Biff ducked down her head looking at the pavement… she had no right to ask Mikey any questions of her life or what she thought about it. Mikey had even less right so the two didn’t- ‘couldn’t’ talk besides this odd social barrier between them.

The Madison house was so.. normal? Biff didn’t really know what to expect as she was brought into the living room. She had little idea what to expect as Mikey was suddenly embraced and hugged by her parents- another reminder of their differences.

Mikey had taken the embrace with her feathered arms wrapped around the two humans. “I’m fine- mom- Dad. Come on I’m not a baby!” Mikey insisted her feathered wings were squeezed as much as they dared.

It was all a bit of a blur to the sphinx. Why couldn’t she have that? Why did her dad run to the other side of the world as soon as he became… this. She took a deep breath and put it out of her mind. This was all for Mikey and she was glad everything had turned out fine for her.

Soon enough she was invited for a late dinner and eating.. on a rather big table. The sphinx woman looked up at the chair not entirely sure how she should use it.. should she just stand on it?

“Don’t worry. We’ll eat in the living room on the coffee table.” Jon insisted. He was trying to look out for Biff.

The sphinx was about to say something but… she guessed it would be easier. “Yeah- alright.” The coffee table was much closer to the ground and it was a lot easier to get comfortable. Surprisingly Jon’s family even seemed conscious of her lack of arms and gave a large bowl of food- she glanced over and saw Mikey had been given a similar bowl. The two glanced to each other sharing the same somewhat embarrassed look.

“Can’t you.. use your talons?” Biff asked curiously breaking that slight taboo if however slightly of daring to ask.

“Yeah. Sorta. Mom doesn’t like me doing it though,” the harpy-girl gave a sight huff as she tried to eat with her winged arms to look relatively normal without fingers.

Biff looked a little.. unsettled by it. They were both animal-like. They both lost their human hands.. but Mikey had talons that could grasp things. Biff’s body was a lion below her neck. She looked down at her paws which were just.. incapable of mirroring human acts. She stared at her food- some chicken and rice.. and slumped her head into it. Hunger made her forget questioning her body’s limitations.

Jon watched unable to not be fascinated. She was so… interesting. A real life sphinx eating with them. He found himself admiring her form again. Though he was not the only one watching. His sister, Zoe was also watching.

The sphinx ate quite messy.. bits of rice falling onto the carpet- she glanced at their watching eyes and her ears flattened. “What.”

Jon blinked. “Nothing-” he coughed.

“I thought so,” Biff sighed. “I’m glad you found your.. br- er- sister.. Mikey. To be honest Jon, it was dumb luck. I don’t really deserve anything.” He had to say it. Biff was not one to take undue credit.

Zoe was still staring. “You have the most amazing body I have ever seen in a transformation...”

Biff growled. “I’m a human -female- head on a lioness with wings. I’m not thrilled by it.”

“Why not?” Zoe asked.

“Why not?!” The sphinx stammered. “I’m a freak okay! Just.. forget it. You can’t understand.”

Mikey the harpy girl looked up at the exchange. “I’m gonna have to grow up looking like this. Are people going to think I’m a freak?”

Biff looked suddenly uncomfortable. “No-” he muttered. “It’s.. it will be different for you.” He wasn’t entirely sure it would be of course but.. Mikey was just a kid. She didn’t deserve to know what others would think.. what they thought of the sphinx-girl.

“Is it because you changed while older?” Mikey asked insightfuully.

“..yeah,” Biff nodded. “It’s.. different when you’re older. I… I had a better idea of stuff- now all that’s just gone. You’re young and still have your whole life ahead. You still have… your teachers looking out for you your.. parents.”

Jon sighed. “Come on Biff you’re not that old.”

“I was old enough to have a girlfriend Jon! I had.. plans.” The sphinx girl suddenly became tearful. “It was all ripped away from me. I’ve got.. nothing. My house, my girlfriend- my father left me! My own father didn’t want to deal with me like this and the worst part is I can’t even blame him!” The sphinx got caught up emotionally and felt tears stinging her eyes. She tried to lift her paw to rub her face but her paws didn’t seem to work easily that way and she had to hunch her head lower.

She felt a hand on her back. “Huh?”

Jon had put his hand on the sphinx. He wasn’t sure if it was right- and suddenly was aware that he was touching a very powerful lioness body. “Sorry,” Jon said. “You just seem really low.” Hesitantly he removed his hand.

“Funny.” Biff scoffed. Even Jon was making fun of her? She was too tired though to say much more about it.

“No- I mean- you seem upset. Is there anything I can do?”

“Find a cure.. get me out of this body and back to normal.” Biff whispered. “Sorry I know it’s not possible.” She sighed.

“Didn’t you like flying?” asked Mikey.

“Maybe that was.. one thing I did like...” Biff quietly admitted a bit wistfully.

Jon looked down with guilt. This transformation was his own fault due to his stupid wish. He didn’t have the stone any more otherwise he would wish everyone back to normal. His brother.. the other kids.. and Biff. “If you need anything.. I hope you could just ask me.” He said.

Biff was getting more agitated though. That itch was coming back- it felt like ants now crawling all over her. “I.. should go home-” she said while pulling her hind quarters close to her ears. She stumbled towards the exit-

“Biff?” Jon asked. “I’ll try to help-”

The sphinx briefly turned back to Jon. “Jon.. I like you really but- look, I’m not exactly a social animal. Life taught me to be strong and I tried to fight hard physically to be good and sports- I can’t do any of that in this body… I just want to go home.”

“Alright..” Jon nodded.

Biff was focused on getting home. Try to fly… maybe? Though that itch was making it so hard to focus. Somehow she had managed to get back to Miss Collins house but it was in between the mother of all scratching fits she had ever felt. Literally everything on her body was on fire. “ARGH!” She cried out- before suddenly collapsing.

“Biff?!” Collins gasped as she opened the door to see the sphinx girl in such a state.

“H-Help-” Biff cried out suddenly too weak to even move. Her fur looked to be actually falling out in some places. Her skin red and raw where it showed. “

Come inside-” she said as she brought the sphinx into the living room. “What’s wrong?”

“I must be going into heat- I can’t stop scratching and everything’s burning please just make it stop!” Biff didn’t know it would be like this. It felt horrible! She groaned as she fell to the side of the sofa rolling to try and stop this weird itching.

Collins carefully examined her- and quickly ran into the kitchen. She glanced down to where she kept some onions and garlic seeing a very find dust… “Oh no..” she frowned her fox-tail flicking behind her. She started to make a rather quick unusual concoction getting out some lemon and vinegar. Carefully she started to dilute it with water. “… hopefully strong enough.” She put it into a bottle with a spraying top.

Biff was just struggling as she groaned and tried to scratch herself- when Collins suddenly sprayed her with something. “Huh-?” The sensation started to.. stop? She breathed a small sigh of relief as Collins sprayed her with the odd remedy. “Ah- oh.. that’s .. that’s better-”

Miss Collins shook her head. “Temporary fix sorry it will sting you where you have scratched hard.” She placed the liquid in a few other locations of her body. “I’m sorry to say this Biff but you’re not in any heat. You just have fleas.”

“F-fleas?!” That shook the lion-girl to her core. “How- How the heck do I get fleas!”

“It happens, you do have a lot of fur” The fox-girl explained. “Why didn’t you say anything about the itching? Your fur is practically falling off!”

Biff closed her eyes. She didn’t want to hear this… “I thought… I just thought it was heat and.. I was going to end up having sex-”

“Jeez Biff,” Miss collins groaned. “We’ll have to sort this out tomorrow morning. We’ll take you to the doctors it will be fine.”
