In for a penny, in for pound. Alex thought to themself and pressed the Incognito button.
A new screen opened up with a couple of new options and some text at the top that read:
"Incognito Mode allows you to make changes unnoticed. While Incognito Mode is active, no one will be able to notice you or notice any changes that you have made using this app. When you exit Incognito Mode you will be asked to choose which changes you have made are noticed and by whom. You may also select the method of integration, that is whether the the history of the world will change to match the changes you have made and/or whether the changes are accepted without question. More options are available in the setting tab."
Alex looked at the text with skepticism.
Some sort of AR game maybe? Alex thought. Maybe this was some sort of promotional event and they were just the first to finish downloading the app. Still a creepy invasion of privacy, but potentially kind of neat.
Alex switched Incognito Mode on. The world seemed to hang and stutter again for a moment and then everything seemed normal.
