Scott, now called Joy by her parents, continued to cry for over an hour and nothing that her parents did could soothe her. Eventually Joy fell asleep because even though she still had the mind of a teenager, her body was still only a few days old and had limited energy reserves.

"Are you sure we made the right decision?" Scott's father asked his wife.

"Well even if we didn't, we can't change her back for several more hours. Besides, it would be a waste of perfectly good diapers to change her back before we use them all up wouldn't it?" she reasoned.

"Well, we should watch her for the next couple of days and if she continues to cry the whole time she is awake, we should definitely change her back."

"Of course, dear."

When Scott awoke she had briefly forgotten about her most recent sex change. It all came back to her the next time that her mother changed her diaper. It was hard to miss the lack of male genitals when someone is wiping your groin with a baby wipe. He cried again at the loss but soon gave it up as pointless figuring that it wouldn't help his situation or get him changed back. If he'd heard his parents conversation the night before he would have spent every waking moment bauling until he at least had his proper gender back.

Days passed. Then weeks and months. The complete lack of mental stimulation, and possibly a side effect of being in baby's body, caused Scotts mind to slowly regress.

Scott's parents, with the help of her Aunt Sharon, filled out all of the paperwork to register a home birth. Aunt Sharon was listed as the midwife. There was a little trouble at first because there was no record of Scott's mother being pregnant but this eventually was overlooked when nobody ever came forward claiming that their baby had been stolen. Soon Scott was legally a newborn baby girl named Joy.

Three months into her new life as Joy she stopped even trying and just gave up trying to retain anything of her life as Scott. After six months she barely remembered that she had ever been anybody else. By the time that Joy, she no longer ever thought of herself as Scott anymore, began potty training at 18 months old she had forgotten that she had ever been a boy.

Scott's baby, who was also technically his mother since he had given birth to her, drifted deeper into his comatose state eventually having to be put on life support. He lived on life support for over a year before Scott's parent decided to pull the pull and he peacefully drifted off into death.

Scott's parent kept the medallion of course. They tried using it a couple of times to be each other and try sex 'from the other side', but neither of them really enjoyed it so they put it away somewhere safe and eventually forgot about it.

Joy grew up a relatively normal girl. She was always a little advanced for her age and grasped new things with almost unheard of ease. Once she was able to help pick out her own clothes it became obvious that she was a tomboy. She never willing wore a dress after realizing that she didn't have to.

One day, when she and a couple of friends were playing hide and seek, she was hiding in her parent's closet when she found a shoe box stuffed way in the back. Being a curious little girl, she opened the box and pulled out a strange looking medallion. She couldn't remember ever seeing it before, but still she couldn't shake the strange feeling of familiarity holding was causing...
