All the way to the meet up point Karyn had been steeling herself for the sight she was going to see when she met Jon that morning. Five minutes after she arrived and took Jon’s usual spot Jon arrived. “Hey Jon-Boy how was last night” Jon asked Karyn with no sign of the anger that Karyn had been expecting. “Pretty boring. I spent most of the night watching T.V on my own” Karyn replied as she looked Jon up and down.
He looked very different this morning. Okay he now had long blonde hair and a pair of large breasts but that wasn’t it. There was something about the way he carried himself, the way he stood, the way he moved that was almost feminine. She just couldn’t put her finger on it. It was up to Jon to break the awkward silence that had developed. “Karyn will you stop looking at me like that. It reminds me of the way the boys at school have been looking at me since this started.” Jon told his friend. “Sorry Jon I didn’t mean to stare.” Karyn answered sheepishly.
“Did you bring it?” He asked her. “Just as you asked. But I don’t think it will work.” Karyn said to her friend as she reached in to the bag to reveal the stone and handed to Jon. “What do you mean?” Jon asked looking puzzled. “You know that you can’t reverse a wish. As far as the world is concerned you are me Karyn Black for this week. And Karyn Black has to go to her cousin’s wedding and be a bridesmaid.” Karyn informed her friend.
“Dam you are right! I mean the last time I tried to reverse this wish of yours I ended up with these.” Jon replied while lifting his new wish influenced chest. A panicked look flew across Karyn’s face as she thought that Jon had found out about her early morning wish. Now she knew that as far as Jon was concerned the hair and breasts were the result of him trying to reverse the wish for them to swap lives.
“I said I was sorry about the wish Jon. I was angry when I made it.” Karyn replied to her friend as much apologising for that first wish as her latest one. “I know Karyn there must be something that I can do to make this weekend easier.” Jon said softly while putting his hand on her arm. “What time do you have to leave at today?” Karyn asked. “Well Mom is picking me up at one.” Jon answered. “We have a study period together at second period. Don’t we? Meet me then.” Karyn told her friend while recovering the stone from him and placing it back in the bag.
