Lalaxi smiled as she enjoyed the flight home with her new daughter moving through the air as easily as humans would walk. Earth was… an interesting planet so far from her more direct experience. Of course she had known what to expect before they got here but it was so vibrant with the elements and thick atmosphere of clouds with the high amount of oceans the world contained. The people were so diverse and interesting too. She turned to Scott with a loving smile “Well that went really well!” She said with no hint of sarcasm speaking in her native tongue- which certainly was another nice thing as it helped to communicate with greater efficiency the intention of her words. As interesting as English was she enjoyed talking to her daughter this way too.

Scott was not at all sure why her mother insisted they held hands while flying. She was certainly grown up enough to do this without her- even if flying was certainly ‘new’. If anything it seemed more then a little weird to be flying near her at all. She felt that it somehow made flight just a little bit easier but was not quite sure how this peculiar locomotion worked in the first place or what contact with her did. Relaxing her control seemed to allow her mother to steer them both with just the gentlest of nudges yet it wasn’t as if control of flight was wrestled from her either. It was… just kind of weird.

The two flying far higher then any buildings and would be as dots to an observer below. The events of the last 24 hours flashed through her mind. What in the world just happened? “You aren’t just going to leave him like that?” Scott could barely believe what had happened to Greg... and she tried her best to imagine it. What if… what if she had ended up being twinned like that? If another her who was still ‘normal’ living his life while she was… now this… in some ways better? In other ways worse...

Her mother giggled. “Oh humans are quite adaptable from what I have seen. They will be fine. It will be a great experience for them both” Lalaxi said with quiet calm. “There’s some paperwork to fill but Greg’s mother was so happy too! She now has two children.. and Greg has a sister that knows him better then himself. I think that’s a pretty good outcome for the miwi-miwi all things considered.”

Scott felt a bit silent as that as they floated a little higher just under the clouds. “What do you mean?”

Lalaxi looked a bit cautious now. “Well… A wild miwi-miwi is extremely valuable. As much as we try to protect them they are endangered… frankly I couldn’t think of a better place for one then to gain a human mind and be able to exist on this simple planet away from interstellar treaties. It’s the best possible outcome for the poor thing… ” Lalaxi started to dive lower as she directed her flight towards their house. How in the world did she do this with so little information… did they have some kind of inbuilt radar or was Lalaxi memorising the routes? They didn’t have to go this far up.. but it seemed that she really enjoyed flying with Scott making it seem like a car journey. She decided to turn downward into a gentle spiral.

“But- you said it’s a ‘girl’ miwi-miwi?” Asked Scott suddenly.

“Indeed. Why do you ask?” The space-woman looked genuinely confused as to why that would be a consideration.

“Uh… nothing… nevermind...” Scott felt a pang of sympathy for Greg.. the new one. How would the two even get on? Could they?”

Greg- Human Greg that is, had had enough of today. Things were just.. awkward to say the least. He didn’t know what to make of this weird creature or the fact that it ‘she’ claimed to be him. He knew that wasn’t true of course. He was him! That thing was pretending to be him.. but for how long? How long until the truth was revealed. What was the game with those aliens? There had to be something they wanted from all this.

He went to the bathroom to try and clean himself up and prepare for bed. This did not go at all like he had hoped or planned. His attempt to get the alien technology saddled him with some kind of ‘alien pet’. After brushing his teeth he walked to his bedroom- when he saw the creature there just.. lying on the bed. His bed! It’s weird body dangling to the side with its tail hanging off awkwardly. “Hey! Get the heck out of my room!” Greg shouted sternly like he was talking to a dog. He just wanted to get out of this whole crazy day and when he walked into his bedroom that.. ‘thing’ was already there! “What the heck- are you wearing my shirt?!”

Alien Greg stumbled off the bed in shock. Human him had just burst into her room! “It’s my room!” The smaller and alien looking creature yelled back in that high pitched voice. The sudden realization of how much larger Greg was put her at some concern. She was wearing the T-shirt- Greg’s favourite T-shirt with the black stripe on the side. It was long enough that it covered down past her legs if barely.. though that large tail poked out at the end. The baby blue dress was stuffed to the side of the bed.

Greg looked in surprise. “Why are you leaving your stuff here?” Greg groaned. “I know your game, you may have fooled them but you are not fooling me.”

“My stuff? I just borrowed it I didn’t even have a choice!” The diminutive alien gasped as she took a few steps back- tripping over her tail. “Ah!” She flew slightly back. Stupid feet! How was anyone supposed to walk with these?

“What’s going on here!” Their mother said opening the door suddenly.

Greg and.. Greg looked at their mother in surprise.

“He started it-”

“She started it-”

“He’s the real alien-”

“She’s the real alien-”

“Both of you quiet!” Their mother suddenly yelled putting her foot down. “Okay… what exactly is the problem between you two?”

“It’s my room-”

“It’s my room-”

The two seemed locked in synchronized speak. Given they were the same person and were confronted by the same situation this.. did make some sense. Though it was going to get annoying quickly. “Okay… this is going to be one of those weird situations...” Greg’s mother gave it some careful thought. “As things stand this is both your rooms. So.. you’ll just have to share.”

“WHAT!?” Both yelled.

“Yes.” Their mother nodded. “That will keep things fair.”

“I’m not sharing it with some alien body snatcher-”

“I’m not sharing it with some alien body snatcher-”

Their mother shook her head. “You’ll share… and we’ll work out how to divide your things among you two. Also I must make it quite clear you are not to fight each other. For now you’ll be brother and sister.” Their mother clasped her hands grinning. “Hm, we’ll have to get some new clothes for you though,” She said to the alien-Greg. “That T-shirt doesn’t really fit well on you.”

Alien-Greg looked mortified. Would her mother make her go in a dress?! “Mom...” She squirmed glancing to her other self and back to her mother. “I know that alien said I’m a.. female Mewy-”

“Miwi-Miwi.”

“… right.. whatever,” Greg huffed a bit folding her long arms- or at least she tried to but the arms didn’t seem quite made for that gesture. She only awkwardly placed the arms a bit too low crossing them over at the write joints. “Uh- can we.. keep this ‘girl’ thing… secret… it’s not as if anyone has to know.”

Greg suddenly chuckled at that- but stopped at the ice cold look from their mother.

Alien-Greg felt utterly humiliated to be even asking this. She… she didn’t even know the very ‘implication’ of what it was to be female in this body. If it were human then the implications would be obvious. However in theory there doesn’t need to be any implication if the others didn’t know. Her biology was alien enough already therefore being a female alien was not something that had to be announced. “I.. I don’t want anyone treating me like a girl. I mean I don’t even have...” She quietly glanced down to her chest. There were not exactly nipples there and her sexual organs seemed a bit too alien for her to even ‘find’ in the first place. Looking between her legs she found seams of skin that almost made her look sexless. Though the more she felt the more ‘alien’ the sensations became until she stopped looking. Did being a female honestly mean all that much in this case? It was an alien body and that was enough.

Though some small part of alien-Greg wondered.. did that mean she had no identity at all? If she was somehow caught in this awkward middle space… why did that thought make her feel empty?

Her mother looked thoughtfully.“Well.. okay Greg, we don’t have to tell anyone.” She said patting her head and strange green tendrils.

Alien Greg let out a sigh of relief. “Thank you.”

“Though.. it’s going to be a little tricky with your voice. You do sound distinctly feminine to my ears anyway.”

“I- I do?!” The alien looked annoyed at that.

“Either that or a six year old,” Human Greg teased- witch earned a twitch of an eyebrow from his mother and an annoyed groan from the clone.

Alien-Greg looked in frustration. “Urgh.. whatever. I am not wearing a dress though.”

Their mother looked at Greg again with some sympathy. “I’m afraid we’re going to have to be a bit practical there sweetie. Your tail is.. not going to make it possible to wear much else. Let me see.” She opened up a wardrobe.. and somewhat naturally began to tidy up sorting out clothes into two distinct piles. One pile was distinctly smaller though.. clothes that maybe Alien-Greg could wear.

“Maybe you should just be naked. Most aliens are naked on TV.” Human Greg ventured.

“Urgh!” Alien-Greg looked at her human self with her eyes lit on fire. Why does she have to be the one dealing with the worst of this! She had already had her life utterly destroyed and.. she wasn’t even the ‘real’ Greg.. as much as her mother seemed to be acting like she was. The horrible truth was.. she only knew what she knew as the truth. She knew she was Greg.. or at least she certainly believed she was Greg… but that meant there were two possible scenarios. Everyone is telling the truth.. both of them were Greg and therefore she was merely a copy. That meant in the ‘Truth’ scenario she really wasn’t a real person despite everything she thought. The second possibility is that the alien switched with her and had somehow tricked everyone… and that everyone was lying to her. It wasn’t impossible.. but it seemed unlikely. She had to hope that this human-alien dopleganger would reveal itself soon.

As her mother worked on the piles of clothing she suddenly caught her reflection. That strange face.. pushing out a little in its strange almost animalistic way. The odd tendrils of green that were not even hair. The three fingers and large out of place limbs… those eyes… “I’m a freak...” The alien-being muttered as she- as ‘it’ stared into the mirror. “I’m...”

Her mother suddenly knelt down and gave the alien-Greg a hug. “Come now Gregory, you know I don’t care what you look like. You’ll always be my kid...”

Inside Alien-Greg suddenly felt her shell crack. “M-Mom...” The Miwi-Miwi whispered. She was just a copy... was she? the sheer existential crisis of it shook her to the core. What if she… “But.. they are saying… I’m… not-”

“Ah see? She admits it she isn’t me!”

“Hush. You are, don’t listen to.. yourself.” She glanced at the human-Greg. “You treat your sister nicer. I want you to look out for her in school…” She turned back to Alien Greg. “And if he doesn’t I want you to tell me okay?”

Alien Greg wasn’t sure what to make of this but meekly nodded. “O-okay.” At this point what choice did she have? Her thoughts were going into such dark places and her mother was giving her a literal life rope. She had to believe though that the real alien would reveal itself… and she could get back to her normal body. How was he so good at acting like her…

“Wait- we’re taking the freak to school? In my normal classes?” Human-Greg’s eyes widened.

“Until we can think of something else, yes. In the mean time I’ll try to find some clothes for you… I wont lie we still might have to find a dress for you. I can’t really see a way around that tail. Which means… it might be easier if you just pretend to be a girl?”

Alien Greg gulped. She had already had to do that once… was she really going to have to do that again...“Fine...” Alien Greg nodded. “I just don’t want anyone else knowing about this.” She grimaced suddenly as she remembered what happened to Scott. Though she was not going to make the same mistakes. She would ensure to hide this situation from everyone. “I.. need a different name...”

Her mother gave another look at this. “Well if you are sure, but… you are still Greg to me,” she said with a smile.

“I know. I.. just need a name I can use with everyone else.” She glanced at herself in the mirror meekly. Great.. she looked like Rodger the Alien from family guy… no like a weird baby ET...

“How about Roger the Alien? You kind of look like him.” Human-Greg chuckled. “Oh- maybe ET?”

“No!” Alien Greg was slowly realising he was such an absolute- well- there were reasons for it.. not good reasons but… she had to allow it for now. Besides looking at herself and her long limbs.. it wasn’t the worst thing he could have said. Though to lose her name and show she wasn’t actually Greg? Then again… what choice did she have if people saw her as this freak wouldn’t it be better to have a cover name until this was fixed? “Well I could go by my middle name. Philip?”

Her mother looked at her female-alien daughter a little exasperated. “So… you want to pretend you’re a male alien from Alpha Centauri wearing a dress? Don’t you think you’re making this more convoluted then it has to be?”

Alien-Greg gulped. “Well-” This was.. going to be so hard. The sticking point was the dress issue. Unless she wore some kind of robe maybe...

“Let me give you a name,” Her mother suddenly said.

“Could always go with Philipa,” Greg teased.

“Shut up Gregoria.”

Ida groaned again. “Okay so for now Greg, I think we’ll name you… Pyxis.”

“Huh?” Alien-Greg blinked. “What kind of name is that?”

Ida tried to explain her reasoning. “It sounds fairly alien.. and most will not know of that constellation. I think it suits you personally. You could always shorten it to Pyx.. and it sounds a bit space-version of Phil.. so I think it’s fairly suitable. Read a history book to learn more about the stars.” She advised her new alien daughter and touched her green tendrils- an act that made human-Greg stand a bit back on.

Pyxis.. well maybe it will do until she could get her body back? It should only be temporary anyway.

“Now that this is all settled, I want you to take the coach until we get another bed for you.”

“Oh- okay Mom-”

“Not you Pyx, I mean Human Greg.”

“What? Why?!”

“Come on, your other self is having a bit of a hard day. Let her have a bit of comfort and I’ll try to sort things out tomorrow.”

The day had ended quietly for Dennis as he thought of Scott and her first day of school. He had.. really screwed up. He had underestimated just how weird the situation would be. He felt in some ways ashamed too… it was like he had no faith in his friend and that now she was an alien they couldn’t be friends? It sounded stupid the more he thought of it and he wanted to prove it was otherwise. Why did it seem so difficult… That his friend was now this attractive alien girl.. did it mean he couldn’t… If that was the case were they even friends to begin with-

Of course they were friends! He didn’t even know why it mattered to him. Maybe it was because Scott seemed so accepting of who Dennis was. He didn’t mind that he liked the pretty anime girls when it would be pretty weird to anyone else. Admittedly Scott ‘did’ find it weird but seemed to appreciate and like him without thinking he was a freak.

He turned on the computer and was greeted by that lovely background of the anime elf girl Mischievous Space Princess Runi. Her pose perhaps a bit suggestive but it was by and large tasteful enough for anyone to see it. (if one didn’t notice subtle details of her.. assets) A bit cautiously he suddenly glanced around the room looking for.. bugs or- well- anything. “How did she even know about her...” This particular anime was obscure to the point that it barely existed to anyone. It wasn’t even considered particularly good by current standards with its blurry lines and poor drama as well as over simplistic story- but Dennis liked it. Mary claimed to have an uncensored copy and there was honestly anything he would have done to have it…

… well.. almost anything. It would be played for laughs of course but Dennis might never know the sacrifice he made today. He sighed a bit and tapped the pretty elf-girl. “Maybe I’ll see you one day again Runi.”

Something very… weird happened at that point. It was so weird that Dennis had to blink a few times as the background of his computer suddenly moved.

Runi- the elf-girl was moving! He stared in wonder as those heavenly mounds of breasts jiggled suddenly and her voice was heard loud and clear across the speakers.

“Hello Dennis!” She said with a wave.

Dennis’s jaw dropped. “… uh… Hi...” It was moving. The girl- in the wallpaper was moving!

“What? Is something wrong? Am I not wearing the right clothes? Oh dear, these are kinda tight-” The girl suddenly started pulling at her top making her breasts jiggle more-

“No- ah- uh- I mean-” Scott was utterly frozen. This was his dream come true but to actually see it was… was crazy! “How is this even possible? Who are you? What are you?” This couldn’t be.

“I’m Runi! Come to protect this planet from the Time Travelling Parasitic Saturanians.” She then looked at her clothes again. “However the first part of my mission is complete. I have found my true love!” She stretched out her arms lifting her large breasts even more.

“T-True- L-o-” She was saying she loved him? His thoughts froze just as quickly as his body. Still … not quite sure what was going on. A computer was going crazy on him- so.. maybe it just needed a reset? “Uh… I think I got to turn this off-”

“What? Hey wait a sec-”

Dennis panted in quiet shock. What the heck was that? Who the heck was that? Why- he had to calm down. This might have something to do with alien technology again. Were they trying to upgrade the internet? He vaguely recalled something like that going on and that Earth would be connected to some kind of ‘Intergalactic’ network someday- but this was crazy!

He had to call Scott. She would probably know more about this. He quickly pulled out his phone only to see the screensaver- Runi- blink and stare at him folding her arms.

“Please Dennis! I love you!” She insisted. “I know you love me too!”

Dennis stared at his phone. “I- just need to talk to Scott… this isn’t normal- you are not normal. You shouldn’t be moving like this! You’re just a.. an anime character.”

“Oh.. so you want me to move like...” She began to dance across the screen. Every inch of her heaving bosom jiggling. “Come on Dennis try to think this through. If you tell someone then I have to go- and would you really want that?”

Dennis paused. He stared at Runi.. the sexy alien elf-girl with her gorgeous green hair and.. green eyes- her ears long and slender she was literally made to be one of the sexiest anime-girls ever. “Well… No… but could you tell me who you really are? You can’t really be Runi. She’s… fictional.”

“She’s real to you… so am I...” The strange digital being said placing her hands on the phone screen. However her eyes suddenly changed and it was like all the pretence was gone. “Okay look- I might have taken Runi’s form because… I wanted to come to Earth. I heard about this planet and it seemed really fun. Limited in technology but so much potential! You guys are considered a backwater planet you know. I just came to explore and partake of your culture and..” she glanced at a website Dennis was viewing. “your curious interests.”

Dennis relaxed a bit. This he could deal with. The honest truth… Runi was an alien. Right. “So.. you’re really an alien? How did you end up on my computer?”

“I… can’t really say.” She said evasively. “Just that you know- people like me can’t really do much and I saw how much you loved this form so.. it made sense to meet you like this. My real name is honestly not pronounceable So feel free to call me Runi. I kinda like it anyway.” she giggled. “We’re going to be such great friends!” She gave a shy look. “In the mean time though would you mind turning off some of your firewalls? I just need to send a message...”

Runi inwardly sighed. “Do I really have to entertain this man-child?!” She grimaced. This wasn’t exactly what she had expected. It was all supposed to be quite easy… “Stay calm.. just let him think what he wants...” She had been stuck in the digital world for what seemed like an eternity. Given how slow the human computers were it was very difficult to fully virtualise.. and she didn’t even get to control her body’s appearance for some reason. Her own programs were not functioning as they should. She carefully connected and saw the grim words appear on her system. “Contract cancelled? What the heck?!”

WITH THE MIWI NO LONGER OF VALUE THE CONTRACT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

This was so damn annoying. The elf-woman gave a look but maybe it was best to quit while ahead. “Very well. Then I would suggest they provide my cancellation fee to my account-”

NO PROCUREMENT. NO FEE. YOUR FAILURE. THE MIWI WAS AN EASY TARGET. WE PROVIDED ALL REQUIRED ASSISTANCE.

“The Human internet is too slow! How was I supposed to get into their systems dealing with such an archaic information network.” She was not the greatest internet hacker for nothing. The greatest thief in the galaxy. The most wanted criminal of the stars is not to be treated like this!

“OUR AGREEMENT IS TERMINATED.”

“Wait!” Runi grimaced. She tried to use her recall sequence but… for some reason it wasn’t working. “What the heck?”

“COMPENSATION ACQUIRED. WE HAVE YOUR SHIP.”

“Huh! You can’t! You freakin’ Trell mesher Squafers! ” Runi gasped. “You can’t take my ship! It has my stuff! I’m still virtualised damn it! I need to get back to the real world!” Without her equipment-

END TRANSMISSION.

Runi stared in horror. This was.. really bad. Without her ship she was now just a digital construct… “Hm, how long will it take humans to invent a De-Virtualiser...” Probably a good few thousand years. “Though this Man-child seems interested in technology...”

She had to send out a message to get herself De-Virtualised.. which should be possible. However she had to do it without the other aliens her seeing her. That might be a little tricky…

Mary quietly hummed to herself as she examined the school paper.. internet edition. She rather liked the words on paper though. Something about the fact that words couldn’t be changed… a paper was so … permanent. The internet was malleable.. changeable… ultimately it could be re-shaped by others in the future. Her father said she was old fashioned but.. it was more then that. She was terribly insightful. She wanted to know more about the aliens and technology of course. The story of a life time was what happened to Scott.. and the possibilities it raised.

She felt herself giggle a little at getting an inside scoop one day.. hearing what the new girl thoght of her situation. It was the most incredible story!

She was curious though as her phone rang. It appeared to be Greg. “Hm, did he finally get something from the aliens?” It was rather late though. Still she was curious as ever and accepted the call. “Editor and chief Mary Filtcher speaking! You know it we tell it!” She smiled at the self-given title.

“MARY! you got to help me my body has been-” The voice sounded panicked. There was the sudden sound of the phone getting knocked out and a high pitched voice shouting next.
“That’s my phone- Mary you got to help me- he’s the alien-”

“Give me back my phone!”

“It’s my-”

Mary blinked. “Uh.. Greg? Is everything alright? Do I need to call the cops?”

“No-” The two voices said in unison.

Mary blinked in confusion. Of course she had an app to record all her phone conversations and thus turned it on. “Hm.. this could be juicy...”
