Now that she had a way to communicate with Jon whenever she wanted, Sarah didn't have any important reason to keep her power secret. Sure, it would be smarter to take precautions and keep him in the dark, but she didn't care about that now. In the end, she would do what she considered would be more fun, and that was telling Jon, but not everything. It would be funnier if he thought he knew everything, only to fall in her trap when she would do something he didn't expect. She was almost laughing in advance.

"How about I told you about my power?" She proposed trying to sound trustworthy, but failing miserably.

That got their attention, but they knew better than to trust Sarah. "What's the catch?" Asked Jon.

"There is no catch." She said with a smile before telling them the catch. "I just want to ask you some question, that's all."

The idea of outright refusing her proposition floated in his mind a little, but he dismissed it. He had too many questions and needed answers, but he still didn't trust her. "And how can I be sure you're telling the truth?"

Sarah couldn't stop her smile from getting even wider. That was just the right question. "I thought about that, so I have a proposition. I'm going to give you a choice that will make both of us unable to lie to the other until we reenter the school, is that okay with you?"

"How can we be sure you're not going to say something else?" Karyn asked warily.

She was answered by a condescending laugh. "If I wanted to ask something else, I would already have done so." She turned toward Jon. "And even if I wanted to trick you, you wouldn't be able to stop me."

"But why don't you simply do what you did with Karyn's mind?"

"Because you have to ask me for it directly. I can't tell you to ask for something, it wouldn't work." Sarah paused before adding, "This info is free by the way, enjoy!"

Jon thought about it. He thought it was weird that Sarah didn't just ask him to always be honest with her, not that he was complaining. Sarah herself wasn't sure why she didn't do that. She knew it was better in almost every way, but she wanted him to be able to fight back for some reason. She still wanted to change him, and she wouldn't have hesitated before this morning, but what Jon did at her first try awoke something within her. She had been excited when he resisted her, by the feeling of having a worthy opponent, who wouldn't let her have her way easily. She would never admit it, but she had been a little disappointed when Jon simply surrendered earlier. Now she wanted to get that feeling back.

"Alright." Jon finally agreed after much thought. "Give me my choices."

"Good, then here it is: Either we will both become unable to lie to each other until we pass the gate to school, or you become unable to lie to anyone for the rest of your life." Sarah decided to give a second option big enough to scare Jon a little, but that she wouldn't need later.

Jon was indeed pretty shocked by the second option, not by its scale like Sarah thought, but by the fact she would abandon it. He had guessed earlier she couldn't propose him an option he already refused, but he was starting to doubt now. "Option one." He simply said, still lost in his thoughts.

"Now, how about we take turns asking questions." Jon could say it wasn't a question. "You can refuse to answer if you want, but I won't answer anymore after that." She paused, like to let Jon say something, but quickly resumed before he could even open his mouth. "Alright, I'm asking first."

"We only have fifteen minutes before class starts." Karyn interjected, feeling more and more like a spectator. She wasn't as concerned by everything as Jon or Sarah, she felt like she was just here as a moral support for Jon. However, she couldn't go. She knew Jon needed her, and in a way, she needed to be here for him.

"You hear that, Jon? We better get to it quick if you want some informations." Taunted Sarah.

"Just ask your question, then!" Snaped Jon.

Sarah smiled, wasting another few seconds in silence before finally asking. "First, what did you know about my power before this morning?"

Jon tried lying just to test what would happen but couldn't get a sound out of his mouth, so he didn't waste anymore time and just told the truth. "Not much. I only knew someone had a power that could change everything about me, but that it had restrictions." He could tell her that but hoped he wouldn't need to mention the stone in his future answers. "My turn now, what did you mean by waste a choice earlier?"

Sarah had expected this question. "Exactly that. I normally only have three choices I can give you each days and I don't need to waste one if you ask me to change something and I do it." Jon was pretty disappointed it was only limited each day. It looked like it would not end by itself and he would probably need the stone. "Next question:" Sarah's smile became a little darker. "What is the worst thing you thought I could change you into?"

Jon wasn't expecting that kind of question, but he wasn't complaining. He'd rather answer these than questions involving the stone. "Well, the worst would be changing me into a worm or some insect."

Sarah, who had been feeling like she was some mistress of evil until now, lost her composure and let the teenager express herself. "What?! Ew... That's disgusting! For what kind of person do you take me? I know I'm not the nicest person, but I'm not that evil!"

"You asked me the worst thing I thought about. That was it!" Replied Jon, smiling.

"Well, I don't doubt you one second... How would you even think of that?!" She took a second to calm herself. "Anyway. It's your turn now."

"Oh, right!" He had been distracted and didn't think about his next question, so he asked the first he could think of. "Hum... What would happen if I don't answer one of your choice?"

"If you don't choose, I'll choose instead.I can choose one option, the other, or both. You too can choose both if you want, not that I think you will ever want to." She was trying to get back in the mood but it was pretty hard. "Alright, let's try it that way. What did you think I would change you into? Not the worst thing, just what you thought was the most likely."

Sarah still wasn't sure what to change Jon into. She wanted something he wouldn't enjoy but didn't know what. The first goal of these questions was to give her ideas.
