Sarah could see Jon had doubt about whether she would keep her promise, and was the situation different, maybe she wouldn't have. Right now however, she had too much to gain to mess around. "Alright, you want Karyn to always keep her memories of you right now, right?"
"No, more than that. I want her mind to never be altered in any way." Answered Jon, not wanting Sarah to have any loophole to exploit.
"I can't do that, I can only change things about you." Sarah explained like he was retarded. She was beginning to wonder how much Jon really knew about her power. He probably had some informations, but certainly not everything, he wouldn't have asked that otherwise. "You have have to word so it's related to you."
Jon was surprised at first but thought it made sense after a few second, and he was glad she couldn't change the whole world with her power. "Make it so her mind won't be altered by any change affecting me. That should work, right?"
"Sure, I guess. So you want to make it so Karyn's mind won't be altered by any change affecting you?"
"That's what I said. Why did you..."
"Just answer yes or no." Interrupted Sarah before repeating the question. "Do you want to make it so Karyn's mind won't be altered by any change affecting you?"
"Hum... Yes" Jon said weakly. He felt like he lost whatever control he had about the situation. "Aren't you supposed to give me a choice or something?"
"No need. It's done." Sarah was now sure Jon didn't know about this part of her power. She wondered if she should explain it to him.
"Really?" Asked Karyn, skeptical. "I didn't feel anything."
"You're not trying to trick us? Right"
"You asked me to do it. You don't have to choose if you're asking, and I don't have to waste a choice on it." She stated matter-of-factly. "I can assure you that I can't change Karyn's mind in anyway. And I won't be able to unless you ask me to do it." She could see the confusion in their eyes, confirming that Jon didn't know what she was talking about.
Jon was indeed confused. He felt like there was a lot of information in what she just said but his brain was blocked on one. She said she didn't want to waste a choice. Did it mean she had a limited amount of them? Could she get more or would it be over at some point? He almost felt like celebrating, but he knew it was only the beginning. He didn't knew how many she had, so it could be a very large number that would feel unending.
But Jon didn't have to wonder very long as Karyn asked the same question "What do you mean, waste a choice?"
"Didn't Jon tell you about my power?" Sarah asked, genuinely surprised she didn't know. She looked at Jon and saw the same confusion on his face. "Wait! You don't even know about that?" She blurted out before it dawned on her. "You don't know anything, do you?" She was somehow convinced Jon knew everything after this morning, but she realized it was the opposite. He probably only knew she had a power and deduced the rest from their interactions. The question now was : 'should she tell them about it?'
