Sarah McMillan flushed the toilet, pulled up her panties and skirt and exited the restroom stall. Her friends Melissa and Tiffany were by the sinks waiting for her. They were making their usual late appearances to class and they usually wasted time in the toilets.
Sarah washed her hands and then opened up her purse to touch up her lipstick. After a few moments of rummaging around, she couldn’t find it. Sarah frowned as she looked up.
“Have either of you two seen my lipstick?” She asked casually.
“Lipstick?” Melissa asked sounding confused. “What on Earth do you want lipstick for?”
“Um, to touch up my makeup?” Sarah replied equally confused. Tiffany laughed.
“Makeup? Sarah, only boys wear makeup.” Melissa joined in laughing.
Sarah looked at them. Since when did boys wear makeup? Sarah shook her head and took Tiffany’s handbag from her.
“Hey!” Tiffany cried but Sarah ignored her and started to look through the bag. After coming up empty she looked in Melissa’s as well but found none in there either. Defeated, Sarah looked up at her two friends.
It was only then that she noticed that neither girls wore any makeup. Tiffany usually wore a bright pink shade of lipstick but today her lips were plain. In fact, Sarah couldn’t recall the last time that she had seen Tiffany without any makeup on. It was quite a surprise.
Sarah then turned and looked in the mirror at herself and found that all of her makeup was gone as well.
“What on Earth is going on?” Sarah asked herself as Melissa grabbed her hand.
“Come on.” She said pulling her out of the restrooms. “We’re going to be late.”
