By the time Nicole stopped the car in front of Jonatha's house, his mind was spinning. All he could think about was how handsome Nicole was. How she made him feel so good. How he could imagine spending more time with her. How he felt so pretty.
Ultimately, the car braking brought him somewhat back to his senses. He knew it was time to bid Nicole farewell. Nicole got out and then crossed over and opened the door for Jonatha. She walked the beautiful gentleman in the lavender dress up to his house before kissing Jonatha good night.
“Oh, I almost forgot,” Nicole said as she broke away from the kiss. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the stone which she placed in Jonatha’s hand.
“Now remember, no more wishes.” She said with a smile. Nicole leaned in and kissed Jonatha gently on the cheek and headed back to her car leaving Jonatha staring dreamingly after her.
As he watched Nicole drive off into the night, Jonatha sighed happily, dreaming of future encounters with the girl. He placed the rock in his purse and walked into the house.
He was met at the door by Jade, who gave him a big hug. "Oh my gosh, Jonatha... You look beautiful!" he said. "If you told a random stranger you'd only been a boy a week, they wouldn't believe you."
Buffie got up from the dining room and his math homework to greet the recently returned date. "How was it?" he shouted excitedly.
"It was amazing!" he replied in a dreamy voice.
"Shhh, Mikelle and Diamond are watching a movie," Jade reminded the two of them. "I still wanna hear all about it, though. Can we go up to your room?"
"Sure," Jonatha suggested as he made his way upstairs with his best friend.
"I'm impressed with you, Jonatha," Jade chuckled once they got in the room. "You're adapting pretty well." He sat on Jonatha's bed.
"Well, you are too," he noted as he began to change out of his dress. "Though I must admit, once I take this thing off it's still like a revelation." He was down to his underwear. "Would they mind if I wore this around the house?"
"Probably not, though if Zoe comes home, you should put on something else," Jade advised.
"She probably won't be back for a little while," Jonatha said. "I don't think my mom will be, either."
"Then rock it, boy."
When Jonatha came down the stairs in little more than his underwear, Buffie dropped his jaw. He'd never seen this much of Jonatha before, and he was impressed.
"Boy, you're cute," he giggled. "Sometimes, less really is more." Buffie looked at him again. "So, how was the date?"
"Well, we had dinner and then we went to see this cute romantic comedy," Jonatha explained. "Nicole is amazing at dates..."
"I'm not surprised," Buffie chuckled. "I mean, she looks the part of a Princess Charming."
"She really knows what to do to get a guy going, that's for sure," Jonatha replied with a wink. "Did you finish your homework?"
"Yeah, I did."
At that moment, they heard Mikelle yell from the family room, "Hey, the movie's ending!" Jonatha, Jade and Buffie looked at each other. Jade gestured at them, pointing toward the room.
"Wanna go watch it? Probably a good idea," he suggested. The three obliged and took seats around the living room. Jade thought about that dream he had a few nights ago, the one where he was Rapunzel and Ash was his knight in shining armor. It reminded him of his own date tomorrow. Sure, he'd have liked something more formal, but he knew it wasn't Ash's style, and when you're being swept off your feet, who cares?
