The rest of the afternoon passed without much incident. In fact the whole of the day until that evening went without incident. Returning to Jon's home they found that Jon's mother, his sister, his little brother, all thought that he was truly a she. All the family photos reflected this. All the memories reflected this.

As they sat in Jon's room trying on clothes for the night, Karyn sat on Jon's bed, just afraid to ask the simple question. Finally, she worked up enough gumption to ask, "Jon, do you love being a girl?"

Jon was taken back and turned back to Karyn. "I wouldn't say I love it but....I've enjoyed my time as one so far. Why do you ask?"

Karyn finally sighed and said, "Cause to tell you the truth, I enjoy you more this way. I mean, we've had so much fun together, I don't want it to end. Not in a week, not in a month, I don't want it to end ever."

Jon sat down in her chair and thought it over. After all, she had to admit that just one day as a girl had probably been the best day of her life. And she had taken to being a girl so easily that it seemed almost like a natural fit. She was certainly at a conundrum...

Could she be a girl the rest of her life. It seemed like maybe even a week was too long to tell. She needed every facet of being a girl she could get if she was to make this decision. Maybe that meant being one for a good long while. Resolved, she grabbed the rock and held it tight.

"I wish that the wish we made about me being a girl for the next week would actually last for the next 6 months, but that at any time I could reverse this wish or alter the amount of time it lasts." There was a slight glow, and the wish was granted.

"I can't say for certain that I want to stay this way my entire life," Jon admitted, "But I need to try it out for as long as I can so I can make that decision. I admit this has been fun, but I want to make sure it stays that way. Now, how about we go to a party tonight!"

Karyn, a little fed up with the indecision, nodded her head nonetheless. "But first," she said with a smile, "I have something I want to wish." Jon handed her the rock and Karyn held it as close to her face and whispered into it "I wish..."
