Of course, Jon couldn't explain the stone to anyone else. The best he could do was say something that sounded good. "It had to do with this stone. It, um..." He really didn't know what to say. "Well, let's say that there was this bet where I have to let you put the moves on me. It really wasn't a bet, but that's the best I could explain."
"Oh?" said David. He reached for the stone, but Jon held it away from him. "All that stuff about using the stone?"
Jon decided he could always wish that David forget later. "It's magic. It grants wishes."
"No way!"
"Really, I can ask for anything. If I wish that you get your hearts desire..."
Jon's last phrase as the flash happened, of course, was "Oh s****t."
