"I'm a lesbian. I have been for years."
Jon's jaw dropped. He couldn't believe it. But it had to be true, because he was wearing the Necklace of Truth. "But I know you, Karyn. There would have been signs."
"Well, I don't have any female friends. The only friends I have are basically you, Pete and Tim. And I never wear anything too feminine."
She was right about that. Usually, she liked wearing sweaters, and nothing really tight or revealing. "I never thought about it like that." Then a thought came to him. "Are you seeing anyone?"
"No. Not right now."
"But have you before?"
"Yes."
Jon still couldn't believe it. Karyn was dating girls? And Jon didn't even know about it?
"Have you ever had sex with a girl?"
"Yes. Once." She paused. "Please Jon. Don't ask anymore questions."
But Jon needed to know. This magical necklace had changed his view of his best friend. How could Karyn keep something like this from him?
Jon was about to ask another question about her past, but decided to ask her a bit of a more bizarre question instead. "Karyn. If I were a girl, would you have sex with me?"
"Yes. Definitely."
