Just a few minutes later, Karyn called Jon and asked if he could bring the stone over to her house. He said he'd come, but with something almost as good as the stone. She asked him what it was, but all he said was that it was something he wished up.
About five minutes later, he showed up at Karyn's house.
"Hey, Karyn," Jon said, walking into her room.
"Hi, Jon." She was at her computer, doing something online. She turned the computer monitor off and turned around. "So, what's this thing that you wished up?"
Jon showed her the necklace that he had around his neck.
"What's it do?"
"It makes people tell the truth," Jon said.
Karyn seemed a little uncomfortable about that.
"You're not keeping something from me, are you Karyn?"
Then Karyn said, totally against her will, "Yeah, I am." She covered her mouth immediately.
Jon was shocked. What was it that Karyn was keeping from him?
"Karyn. What are you keeping from me?"
Karyn had no choice but to tell him the truth, whether she wanted to or not.
