While Jon ranted, Karyn's attention was caught by one of the rings laying on the table between them. It was not quite blue, and not quite purple. The color was darker than what she usually cared for, but she could not deny that it was pretty. And it said something on it, 'Subs...subser...' It was a big word and Karyn got distracted by the color again. Without much thought she slipped it on her finger next to the black ring.
"...everyone will be under my power and if someone resists I'll just..." Jon stopped in mid thought. If someone resisted him he would obviously have to do what they said. But he had to take power and fight...but fighting wasn't right, how could he possibly control people except for his nearly unlimited power. Jon's head hurt and he rubbed his temples as thoughts of taking over the school fled his mind.
Jon, now feeling himself again, looked up at Karyn and saw the black and indigo rings on her fingers. He was a little shocked to see them glowing slightly. Quickly he slipped off the yellow ring and said, "Karyn, you need to take both of those rings off right now!"
