Unfortunately for Jon, he failed to remember that when the device had changed Steve into Stephanie, she only thought of herself as a girl. This would indicate a loss of any memory of her previous identity. Of course, if Jon had not been in such a hurry, he would have realized this before it was too late. As it turned out, he only had a split second to look shocked and say, "Oh, cr-" before the button did its work.
Just then, the girl's swim team filed in, chatting away amongst themselves. One of them noticed the locker room's other occupant. "Jessica? You're here early. Getting ready for practice already?"
Blinking in confusion, Jessica shook her head to clear it. "I-I think so. What was I doing?"
Briefly, she glanced down at the bra and the strange remote that she still held. It was then she noticed she was topless. She could also see her swimsuit lying on the bench where she had put it a minute ago. Her locker also stood open, containing her purse and an open duffel bag.
"It looks like you were in the middle of changing into your swimsuit," the other girl replied before looking her over with concern. "Are you okay? You seem kind of out of it."
Jessica frowned as she turned the bra over. In the back of her mind, she remembered that it had been Steve/Stephanie Farber and that she needed to change him/her back somehow. However, she also thought of the bra as hers. Oh well. Figuring out this discrepancy would have to wait. She could not afford to be late for swimming practice with a competition coming up this weekend. Quickly, she threw the bra and remote into her locker.
"I guess I'm still drowsy. But I'm okay, really," she reassured the other girl.
Soon, Jessica had donned her standard one-piece identical to the ones worn by the rest of the swim team. After a quick rinse in the showers, she followed her teammates out to the pool area.
