Karyn/Athena looked back down at the device and turned it around in her hands, accidentally pressing the button again. It was pointed at Jon/Zoe.
Jon/Zoe and Jane/Zelda disappeared, but just for a split second. In their places (from Karyn/Athena's point-of-view) stood Jon and Zoe (but she was wearing her mom's clothes and make-up). What happened to Zelda?
Zoe/Jane looked mad. "I can't believe Zoe went out to that club anyway. I grounded her."
"Don't seem so surprised, Mom," Jon said. "You know how Zoe is."
Zoe/Jane sighed. "Yeah, I know."
Karyn/Athena almost couldn't believe what she was seeing. Zoe actually believed she was her own mother. And her brother (where exactly had he come from?) really thought it too.
