"Let's go back to my house. We'll try this thing after school."
"But Jon, it has so much potential!" Karyn said, "We should at least see what more it can do."
"We will, but I have a huge geometry test later today, and I don't want to miss it because you zapped me into the life of Sarah McMillan or one of her bimbo friends."
Karyn smirked at the thought, then said "Okay, fine. I'll meet you out on the corner after school gets out."
Jon was about to ask for the remote back, when Karyn stuck it in her backpack and headed for class. She'll be fine, Jon thought to himself, it's only a few hours.
As Karyn made her way to class, she thought about how difficult it would be to make it through the day without trying the remote again.
