Once they got back to his room, Jon quickly got out the rock, but suddenly found himself very aware of being alone in his bedroom with a very pretty girl who loved him. This had... interesting possibilities.
Of course, he also felt a twinge of guilt after realizing this entire situation was his fault. If he hadn't shown Karyn the rock this afternoon, she wouldn't have accidentally changed her life and he wouldn't have forced her to love him. Clearly he needed to help her make thins right.
However, they didn't get too far into brainstorming fixes before Jon's mother called him downstairs to take out the garbage.
The teen didn't want to leave the rock alone with Karyn, worried about any wishes he might not hear. However, his guilt over doing the exact same thing, combined with the security that she loved him, made Jon leave his girlfriend alone with the Wishing Rock.
Karyn smiled at her boyfriend as he left the room. Jon had always been one of her closest friends, and once they started dating, it didn't take long for her to realize she was in love.
Of course, just because Karyn loved him didn't mean that she never got insecure. That was probably why she made such a stupidly impulsive wish that afternoon. She always hated the occasional glances Jon gave Sarah just because of her figure. Sure, it was petty, but she wanted her boyfriend to only have eyes for her.
It was then that a thought occurred to her. Just because she was going to be insecure about her looks, didn't mean she had to be insecure about her boyfriend's faithfulness.
Taking the rock into her hands, Karyn quickly said, "I wish that no matter what, Jon will always love me as much as I love him."
