"You want me to drink from another vampire?!" exclaimed Jon. "No way am I going to do that!"
He went to the table and tried to release the girl. But he found he couldn't even touch the ropes. "Must be some kind of magic that holds vampires... Mom, what did you do?"
"We needed food and there was nobody," said Jon's mother. "I didn't think you'd notice... by the way, how did you notice?"
"What is this?" asked Karyn.
As Jon got a knife and proceeded to cut the girl's ropes without touching them, he explained. "Karyn, I made a wish that the dice would affect everyone in town. This girl is in town. Therefore she's been turned into a vampire too. Simple, isn't it?"
