"Oh," Allison seemed surprised by the question, but smiled. "It's called 'Rose Quartz'."
Ted suddenly felt a pang of recognition. "From the Sultry palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills?"
"Yeah," Allison seemed even more surprised. "How did you know?"
"Well Sidney Summers recommended it on her IG story and it's been my go-to ever since!"
"OMG me too!" Allison said. "Sidney's my fav beauty blogger. I didn't know you were a fan!"
Ted couldn't believe his luck. He'd been trying for months to get Allison to go out with him but she hardly ever gave him the time of day. But now they were chatting up a storm! Who knew they had so much in common? Maybe this was his chance to get her into bed. Now that they had a connection he could really put the moves on. He was trying to figure out what he was doing differently, but it all seemed so normal. The conversation had shifted to eyeliner techniques when another voice chimed in from the cubicle next door.
"Ahem, excuse me." It was Eric Wells, office brown-noser and all around wet blanket. "Some of us have work to do."
They both rolled their eyes. "Whatever, Eric," Allison said.
"I don't think the boss would be too happy to see you two slacking off."
Ted scrunched his nose at the comment, and saw Allison do the same. "Fine," he huffed as he started to turn back toward his desk. But hang on, this might be his only chance to score! He had to say something. He tried to remember one of his signature pickup lines.
"Ya know, your boobs look, like, really hot in that top."
Oof. Was that wha he meant? That was an awful line! He didn't even say it like a pickup line. It was more like a genuine compliment, something Allison should be proud of. He knew he'd be proud if one of his girlfriends told him his boobs looked great.
"OMG, thank you!"
He headed back to his desk, feeling his black leggings swish with each step. He didn't even realize it, but he and Allison were now dressed identically from the waist down, right down to the pedicure. Ted thought he heard a faint buzz fly past his ear in Eric's direction, but that didn't matter. Finally there was somebody at this boring place he could see eye to eye with!
