Eric felt a spark of electricity leave the medallion as he touched his chosen costume to it. Thinking back to the instructions for partial transformations, Eric thought it interesting that he had to basically give the medallion conflicting information to make it work right. The instructions implied that Eric would need to touch something he had worn before to the medallion at the same time as the costume, but that it would have to be something worn over his face to leave it unchanged.

It was only a stroke of genius that made Eric think that the mask he had picked out to wear with the show girl costume would be attuned to his normal face if he just put it on once before touching it to the medallion. Now, touching the medallion to the mask at the same time he touched it to the rest of the costume, Eric was sure this would work.

"Oh my God! I think it's working."

Eric stared at himself at the mirror as he started to see himself shrink a bit. Being 16, Eric was already a couple inches taller than his 19 year old sister, but he was also a little heavier too. The transformation was mesmerizing to the point that Eric forgot he could stop touching the costume to the medallion after holding it there for about 2 minutes. Seeing his body more clearly now, Eric was almost ashamed when he remembered that it would soon be an exact copy of his sister's body, and in order to change into the costume, he'd basically end up seeing what she looks like naked.

"Oh well, it's all for a worth cause!" Eric mused. He was certain the $50 cash prize was his for the taking. As the transformation finally stopped, Eric was now 5'4" tall and had curly red hair cascading down his back, yet his face remained the same. He turned his attention to the Old West style show girl costume that her sister had picked out. Her parents would have had no reason to complain about this costume (since most girls wear less on regular basis), but this version plunged especially low in the bust and the skirt was cut to where the back was long, yet the front almost guaranteed a panty shot with each step.

Eric was amazed at how easy it was to get dressed. He thought for sure he would struggle with the stockings, but they slid right on. He knew he would have to fight with the corset, but he managed to get it laced up perfectly. Stepping into the heel boots, he was certain he would trip and fall, but he moved with feminine grace.

"Let me look at those instructions!"

Eric glanced at the small note and read one portion that he hadn't previously thought was that important.

"If the wearer of the medallion holds any object to the medallion for longer than an instant, then he/she will gain more mental insight into the new form. Shorter periods of time, will make the form comfortable, whereas longer periods will have larger effects."

"Not exactly what I had in mind, but now this'll be easier than I thought," Eric declared to himself. "At this point, I'll definitely be able to blend in until the end."

Satisfied with his costume, Eric placed the mask over his face and got ready to leave his place. Eric grabbed his wallet and keys and stuffed them in the bag along with a change of clothes. He figured he would need something to wear in case his parents got home before he could change back.

"Oh crap, I almost forgot!"

Eric took off the medallion and placed it back in the box that it came from along with the instructions. Taking care that no one else would mess with the medallion, he hid it in the one place in his room that he knew neither his mom or his sister would look.

Everything in its place, Eric gingerly hopped down the stairs (in heels mind you) and left for the party.
