"I wish you forget how to make these," said Karyn.
"Karyn," said Brooke. "You're wrong. it isn't an invention. They stole it from some guy. They didn't make it. It isn't science, it's some kind of magic."
"Really?" said Karyn.
"Really..."
Eric took the moment of distraction to run at Karyn, who just in time said "I wish you'd stop moving."
Eric and Keith instantly froze in mid-motion, even in mid-air.
Karyn backed away from them, Brooke clinging to her, and then wished them back. "I wish Eric and Keith would start moving again but wouldn't try to get this stone back."
Nothing seemed to happen.
"I wish I had an instruction manual for this stone."
The "manual" appeared in the shape of an old-looking, leather-bound volume, and Karyn tried to read it while distracted by Brooke, who was fondling Karyn's breasts.
Several chapters later, Karyn said "I see. Brooke, you were right. This really is magic! Let's see, the magic makes there be some reason why Eric and Keith are that way. This is a lab, so maybe they did an experiment which did it. Do you know anything, Brooke?"
"I'll do the best I can!" she replied. Shortly she found a switch on a large device half embedded in the wall. She turned it to "off" and Eric and Keith started to move again. But oddly, they no longer tried to make a move to stop Karyn.
"Thanks!" said Karyn. "Now, what to do with you two...."
