stopped for one last time.
She was torn between two forces. One was her submissiveness towards Eric and Keith, wish-induced. The other was her love for Karyn, also wish-induced. She was torn between helping the woman she loved, and obeying what her masters commanded.
In the end she did neither. Hoping she could help Karyn, but not being able to actually disobey to the point of giving Karyn the stone, she said "I wish I didn't have to give anyone this if I didn't want to!"
And her love for Karyn affected what she wanted to do, while her submissiveness affected what she was compelled to do. So the wish did the right thing and instantly erased most of Brooke's submissiveness towards the two scientists. It couldn't reverse a wish, so there had to be some left, but the fact that Brooke remained overly willing to serve them tea really wasn't going to affect things much.
Brooke ran over to Karyn and pushed the rock into her waiting hands. "Please, Karyn!" she said. "Save me! I've been here for so long... I'm leaving with you now!"
"It's okay," said Karyn, comforting the crying girl. "It's all over..."
"I order you to stay here!" said Eric.
"I'm not listening to you jerks any more!" screamed Brooke. "Karyn, you can get back at them for me now!"
"For all you've put my girlfriend through..." said Karyn to the scientists. "Keeping her a slave, in the 21st Century no less! You deserve whatever happens to you..."
Looking at the rock in Karyn's hand, Keith said "Wait! We let her go home. She wasn't a slave."
"You kept her using this invention," said Karyn, holding the stone. "It doesn't matter if she can go home if everything she does is because of your commands. I wish...."
