Jon knew the dangers of making hasty wishes so he had to word his next wish carfully. "I wish that I looked like a Delphite until I am inside of the base of The Royal Flush Gang." The rock glowed in his hand and his form morphed into that of a Delphite. Jon hoped that his plan would work as he aproched the door of the base.
As soon as he got to the door a voice was heard over an intercom that was there. "Who's there, get out of here if you don't have any reason to be here!"
Jon hoped that he could mask his voice enough to make himself sound like a Delphite. "-ahem- I-I'm back from my scouting for Team Heart, I request entry into the base."
"Hmm, alright I'll let you in if you say the magic word. I'll even give you a hint, it's not toaster."
Jon didn't have a clue what the word was so he just followed his manners that his mother pownded on him scince he was little. "Um, is it please?"
"Oh, alright you can come in. Just give me a moment to open the door for you. Honestly though, is using the front door really that important to you? I mean with the power to make a tunnle to go anywhere you want to at any given time."
"I, uh, was not given orders to make a tunnle to get back in." Jon said in his most convicing tone.
"Drat, you really are a Delphite. I thought that you were an intruder trying to look and sound like one just to sneak into this base. Oh well, welcom back to the base enjoy your time here until you have to go out again."
With that the door opened and Jon went in. All that he saw was a long hallway going into a very large room. As soon as he steped into the base there was a flash of light and he looked like himself again. He walked down the hallway into the room and there was a strange figure siting in the center of the room. He was wearing sunglasses and a fancy suit. He looked up at Jon and smiled. "Well look who the door man let in. Hey, I bet that your name is Jon and that you're here to save your girlfriend Karyn. Is that right or what?"
"How did you know that?" Jon asked the man.
"Well she won't shut up about it." His voice then changed and sounded just like Karyn's voice. "Just you wait until Jon comes here, you'll all be sorry that you kidnaped me! What, you want to know my name? Well if you have to know it's Karyn but that is besides the point! Jon will come for me I just know it!" His voice then returned to normal and he laughed as if he made a funny joke. "But seriously kid if you really want to save her you'll have to get by me. Now scince you're in my room, you'll play by my rules. First rule is that you can only have three wishes with that rock of yours. Second the wishes that you make cannot have anything to do with killing and or hurting me, but you can hurt yourself I don't care about that. Third, when your three wishes are up I get the stone and get to make three wishes. Fourth, you cannot wish for unlimited wishes, because then I would never get to make my wishes then. Fifth, if you can somehow trick me into leting you go, then you can pass."
"Why do I have to follow rules?" Jon asked him in an angree tone.
"Because this is the first trial of the base, getting by me!" The man said with a chuckle. "OK, begin your wishing. Come on I don't have all day. Oh and by the way, I've never lost to anyone befor in my life so be carful what you wish for kid. Plus, I'll give you one free wish to start off because I'm such a nice guy!"
Jon thought for a moment and the made his first wish. "I wish that you would let me pass."
The man laughed, "Oh that's really a good wish, no one has ever thought of wishing that I would let them pass. Nice try kid but I am immune to any magic. You still have two wishes left to try and get by me befor my turn."
Jon thought for a moment. "Hey, wait I still have three wishes because you said that I got one free wish to start off this little game of yours!"
The man just laughed again. "That is what I like to call a lie! You should really try and stop being so trusting of everyone. I meen come on, you practically walkind right into Team Heart's hands by thinking that they were students at your school. Now come on you have two wishes left kid!"
Jon looked around the room and saw a curtain on one of the walls. The sun should've still been out but there was no light behind it. It was a very big curtain too. "I wish I knew what was behind that curtain."
The man then blurted out, "That would be the door to the next trial." He slaped his hands over his mouth. "Damn it I hate loop-holes. Scince you didn't target me with the wish it still effected me. Those Delphites get all the luck of being immune to all efects of magic, even those that don't target them! By the way you can't get through it, it's locked and there is only one key for the door. So go on, you still have one wish to make. Then It's my turn to have a little fun."
Jon knew just what to wish for. But before he could make it the man reached into his pocket and pulled out a key. Jon got an idea that might just work. "Hey that key is a fake, I have the real one in my pocket."
"Yeh right like that's going to work, just make your wish so it can be my turn already."
"But that was my wish, I wished for the key to open the door and tht the one who had the key would have a fake key."
"Look kid this key is the real thing and I'll prove it to you. He went up to the door and put the key in the keyhole.
Jon then made his last wish. "I wish that when the key is tried on the lock it would not work unless I am the one using it." The stone flashed and then disapeared. Jon then noticed a bulge in one of the mans pockets and knew that it was the stone.
"Did you say something? Oh well, just hurry up with your wish kid." He then put the key in and tried to turn it, but it would not turn. "Hey, what the...why won't you turn you stupit peice of.." He then stormed up to Jon and gave him the key. "Take you stuped fake key and make you wish!"
"I already did, you do have the stone now don't you?" Jon said with a smile.
The man reached into his pocket and pulled out the stone. He just grinned and handed Jon the stone. "I don't think so you little brat! This is just another fake little piece of crap and I don't want it."
"Ok it's your choice to give this to me." Jon said as he walked over to the door and unlocked it. "Lookes like I've just passed the first trial."
The man just laughed. "Well done, I'm surprised that you were able to enchant my key so that you could pass. As the rules say, you trick me and you may pass. Go on to see your next callenge."
Jon went threw the door and was met by a nother door. This one had four locks on it. The locks were shaped like a heart, a diomand, a club, and a spade. "What is this suposed to be?" Jon asked the man.
"Why it's the next trial of course. Those lockes are there to represent the four teams of The Royal Flush Gang. When you defeat a team you get a key to one of those locks. You have the fist one in you pocket right now, and you have to go and get the others to get passed this door. Come on kid, you can do it. And when I say that I meen, you can't do it."
Jon was in trouble. Now he had to go and find the other groupes and defeat them all! He didn't know where to look for them, or what the members even looked like. He knew what Jack of Team Spade looked like, but he could make himself disapear and reapear. He needed a plan and fast, Karyn was counting on him.
