"You know I forgot quite how sexist these times were, you know Jon I just wish I were a man here and now, that would make all this so much simpler." Karyn waved her arm expansively to indicate the whole bar and wider world. As her arm returned to her side it gained a thicker layer of hair and became heavier. Karyn's clothing changed to a cowboy outfit.
When the bartender dropped the glass he was cleaning, he started shouting about witchcraft and magic.
"I wish the folks from here wouldn't see the changes that come when we make a wish." She hastily added.
"Sorry folks, I guess my grip isn't as tight as when I was a young 'un." The bartender bent down and carefully picked up the glass fragments.
"Let's take a nice quiet table." Jon suggested. Karyn now going by Ken nodded his consent.
"We'll take a bottle of whiskey and two glasses, son." Then paid the bartender before following Ken to an isolated table in the corner.
The bartender dropped of the whiskey and returned to the bar and cleaning his glasses, with a dose of spit and a dirty cloth.
The two friends chatted about school and all that they could now do with a magic stone. Once they were half way through the bottle a girl walked up to them, "Do you need anything? We're closing the kitchen in a few minutes."
"Do you have something warm?" Ken asked.
"There's some stew that will warm your heart."
"That sounds good.", Jon piped up, "Make that two please, Ma'am."
"We can get you some nice dessert too." She waved to the girls on the balcony. "All good clean girls."
Ken blushed bright red in a way, that wasn't very manly.
Before choking out a reply, "Just the soup."
"For the moment." Jon added with a charming smile, before kissing the madam's hand.
