Jessica opened her trunk of doll clothes and began pulling out outfits while smirking at Jon. "I don't have any clothes that you can wear," she told him. "It'd be a pity not to use these, though," she said thoughtfully. She peered at the pile of Barbie outfits before her, then picked up the stone. "I wish Karyn was here," she announced.
Karyn suddenly appeared before them, at first dazed, then puzzled, then alarmed as she realised where she was and, more importantly, who was holding the stone.
"Hi, Karyn," Jessica greeted her. "I thought Jon would like you to drop over."
"J-Jon?" Karyn stammered. "He's not here..." but her voice trailed off when she saw what, or rather who, was standing on Jessica's bed: Jessica's miniaturised brother Jon.
"Jessica, what have you done to him? Don't you know he's going to be stuck like that? The stone can't reverse..." Karyn's speech stopped abruptly as she saw a slow, malicious smile appear on Jessica's face.
"So the stone can't reverse itself, eh?" Jessica seemed not to be displeased at this bit of news. "I didn't know that." Silence hung in the air for a moment, while both Karyn and Jon stared at her, dread building in their hearts.
"Thanks for the tip, Karyn," Jessica finally said. "I didn't bring you here for information, though." She smiled as sweetly as she could and waved at her trunk and the doll clothes on her bed. "Here I have all these clothes, and none of them will fit Jon. Girl clothes, you know. So I though maybe you'd like to try some of them on." She looked Karyn up and down, taking in her new blond hair and body measurements. "You should look good in them: it looks like Jon used the stone to give you some presents already."
Karyn stepped back in horror, realizing what Jessica had in mind. "Jess, no," Jon suddenly shouted. "You can't do that to her."
"I can't imagine why not, little brother," Jessica replied. "Think of it as a favor to both of you: you get to be with your friend and she gets some fabulous outfits."
She laughed as tears appeared in Karyn's eyes. "Don't, please don't," Karyn begged. "I don't want to be a doll."
Jessica's smile vanished as her eyes hardened. She held the stone before her and spoke.
"I wish Karyn woud shrink down to the size of a Barbie."
