Jon climbed back up the stairs that led to his room as he slowly started to become fully awake.
"Hmmm. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to let Karyn have a stone of her own," thought Jon, "She could really cause alot of trouble with that thing and I wouldn't be able to help her out of it. Shit, I wouldn't even know that she was in any trouble since I wouldn't notice any changes she makes to reality."
Jon reached his room and prepared to lay back down in his bed. He sat down on his bed and opened the drawer to his nightstand to put the rock back in it's secret hiding place when he realized that he had to make another wish so that he could monitor Karyn's wishing.
"Alright, I wish that I could see all of the changes that Karyn's wishes make and I wish that I would notice all changes to reality when anyone makes a wish on either of our stones," said Jon who then put the rock back in it's hiding place and laid down in his bed, confident that he had everyhting under control.
Jon dozed off again as Karyn made the short trip back to her house on foot. She passed up the local donut shop as it opened for business. She could smell all of the wonderful pastries that were for sale so she decided to make a quick purchase of a chocolate donut. But then it struck her, why not wish for one instead of depleting her finite allowance money.
"I wish that I had a chocolate donut with sprinkles and a napkin."
The donut materialized in her right hand while the napkins appeared in the other. Satisfied with her wish Karyn walked off while she ate her free donut.
Meanwhile, Jon slept uninterrupted as a chocolate donut and a napkin quietly materialized on the dresser next to his bed.
