As Kimberly entertained the woman's children the woman talked with Kimberly's mother.
"Amanda (Amanda is Kimberly's mother's name), your daughter is so good with children, does she baby sit?"
"She has, Mrs. Adams." Kimberly's mother told the women who was a big customer, "Why?"
"Ronald and I have a big fund raiser tonight and our babysitter had to cancel at the last minute. Do you think your daughter would be willing to baby sit for us tonight?"
"I'll ask her." Amanda offered.
"Kimberly, can I see you for a moment?" Kimberly's mother called out to her daughter.
Still not totally used to being called 'Kimberly', it took her/him a second or so to respond, "Yes Mother." She said, moving to where her mother stood. "What did you want?"
"I have a really big favor to ask. Mrs. Adams asked if you would baby sit for them tonight. I know you haven't baby sat in a long time, but she is a very important customer, and this is really important to the store."
Kimberly didn't really want to baby sit, but knew that it was important to her mother. "I guess so, how hard can it be?"
