The giggling caused Zoe Gibson (still a Goth girl in this reality) to turn and look. Seeing who was giggling caused her to scowl. It was her stupid brother Jon. Oh, sorry ... Boopsie. Her parents may have reluctantly accepted the fact that their oldest son was gay and married to another guy, but Zoe never gave in. Sure, she was all about people being their own person, but Jon acting like some sort of sissy girl ... ugh. It was disgusting.
As she watched Biff walk by, holding his silly "wife", Zoe heard a clunking sound. Something fell on the floor. She turned and saw a small reddish-looking stone. She walked over and picked it up.
Her Goth friend Athena DeVries asked "What is it?"
"A stone," Zoe answered, holding it up.
Athena's eyes went wide. "That's not just any stone."
"What do you mean?"
Athena was somewhat of an expert in the occult, so right away, she recognized what Zoe was holding. But it couldn't be, could it? What were the chances that Zoe would find it? And in a high school, no less?
"It's the Jewel of Cusco."
"The what?"
"It's a wishing stone. It's supposed to grant you unlimited wishes."
"You're kidding," Zoe said. But she could tell that Athena was being serious. "Fuck," Zoe said, realizing the things she could do with this thing.
Outside the school, after Biff put Boopsie down next to his car, he reached inside his pocket for the wishing stone, but realized that it was gone!
"What the hell?"
"What's wrong Biffy?" Boopsie asked.
"The stone's gone. I must have dropped it."
