Karyn wasn't quick enough and Jon was already wishing.
"I wish Biff and I had a study session in five minutes."
"Damn it Jon," said Karyn, snatching up the stone, "I had something important to say."
"What did you have to say?" asked Jon, confused. Just then there was a knock at the door and they heard the sound of Jon's dad answering it followed by footsteps on the stairs.
