Samantha indicated that she would like to her Dr. Marsh's story first. She wondered what could convince a 30 year old man to get his sex changed.

"Where do I start," said Dr. Marsh. "I've always been bisexual, but I was always up front about it with my partners. My first kiss was with a boy, as was my first sexual encounter. When I found a girl who was also bisexual, I thought that I had found Ms. Right. After all, I could discuss boys with her and she could discuss girls with me. Our relationship was pretty open while we were dating; outside relationships were ok as long as it was with someone of the same sex. I had a few boyfriends, just like she had some girlfriends. We even had 'gay dates,' sort of a double date where we went out with our same sex partners. Then came marriage.

"We came to a decision. We would each be allowed to have one 'permanent' same sex lover after we married. I took Mark, my boyfriend from high school. She took a woman from her work. My wife and I were very happy together. We had a son together. We named him Mark, after my boyfriend. We planned that we would name our first daughter after her girlfriend."

"What happened then?" asked Samantha.

"Well," Dr. Marsh continued. "I loved Mark very much, but just because he was 'married' to me, didn't prevent him from having other partners. He was bi as well, though he had a definate preference for boys. I'd go with him to hang out with his other boyfriends. I'll admit that, with all those cute, naked boys, I was tempted to cheat on my wife. But I limited my affection to Mark. One night, Mark and I came home early, and I caught my wife cheating on me. If it had been her girlfriend, it would have been no different than me with Mark. I cared about her girlfriend, just as I had hoped that my wife cared about Mark. But she wasn't with her girlfriend; she was with another man.

"She had been cheating on me almost as long as we had been married. Even our son wasn't mine. We fought a lot. Eventually, she left me for her new boyfriend, taking 'our' son with her. I was devastated. I turned to Mark for comfort. By this time, I was working in my current job changing people's sex. Mark suggested that I have my own sex changed as a way of breaking from my past. I asked if he would still love me if I was a woman. He said yes. I had my sex changed the next week."

"What happened after that?" asked Samantha.

"Mark and I married," said Dr. Marsh. "I went back to work. I was lonely for a while, but the other doctors seemed to accept what I had between my legs. Now, all the women in the sex change department help to prep their patients by having sex with them. After my experience with my wife, I wanted to make sure that this would not hurt my relationship with my new husband. After a lot of talking, not to mention a lot of sex, we came up with an understanding. Because my relationship with my patients was purely professional, he did not view it as cheating, even if the unions resulted in pregnancy. I was already used to his boyfriends, so I was content to let him have his outings, so long as he brought me along sometimes to enjoy the 'view.'

"We've been married for eighteen years now. Two of my pregnancies were caused by patients: one of my sets of triplets and my current set of quadruplets. Mark knows, as will the children, and he loves them all equally. We're actually shooting for septuplets, seven babies, for my next pregnancy." Samantha hoped they stayed happy. She placed one hand on Dr. Marsh's stomach to feel the babies kick. "I've kept up with my 'son' Mark, even if I haven't been able to contact him often. Even though he wasn't mine, we still love each other. And, yes, he is a woman now. He had the change when he was 12, only a year or two after I did. Found a nice boy and got permission to marry when he was 14. He's almost 30 now, about the same age I was when I had my change. He's been even luckier in the pregnancy department than I have. Three sets of septuplets, one set of quadruplets and another five on the way, so he's going to have 24 children running around soon."

After a few minutes of female bonding, Nurse Phoebe asked, "So, are we ready to hear my story?"
