Will slid his backpack under his seat and stretched. He usually worked only one or two odd jobs a week but he received three offers for work today and he needed the extra cash to pay his rent tomorrow. It was only mid-afternoon but Will could barely keep his eyes open. Luckily, his last job was only two blocks from a commuter rail line
Trying to keep himself together, he sat and watched as various commuters moved in and out of the seats around him. He did his best use the train during business hours because it kept him around a good mixture of people. The last time he used the train at night, he left smelling and feeling slightly intoxicated, despite having nothing to drink. Being around a mix of people seemed to keep these types of changes at bay.
Content that he was probably safe with the train almost packed, Will closed his eyes and fell asleep. He didn’t anticipate the fact that his neighbors were about to get up and be replaced by a sizable group of people who were waiting to board the train.
