Jon sighed. He had watched enough shows to know what a Tsundere was, and he thought it might be embarrassing if someone like Jay saw him wear it and knew it what it meant. But he could deal with that way more than the blatant pink text all over the shirt. Although, compared to the Mercy outfit and the shirt that says "big tiddy goth girlfriend", it was less inappropriate. It was probably only slightly less embarrassing than the gamer girl shirt, at least in his mind. And the headpats shirt was just plain weird.
"Oh well, I'll wear it one day, pretend I can't see or hear anyone, and then go to the mall and get myself more clothes." Resigned to his fate, Jon relectantly put on the white tee. "At least it feels comfy. Tight, but comfy."
Jon got up and tried to go to the bathroom to get ready, but the door was locked. "Must be Zoe," he said quietly. He knocked on the door, but no answer. I'll give her a minute.
One minute turned into five, five turned into ten. Over time, Jon's light foot tapping progressed in speed, getting more impatient every second. "Geez, what's taking her so long??"
Finally having had enough, he knocked loudly and aggressively on the bathroom door. "Zoe, hurry up!"
The door opened soon after, with Zoe answering the door...in only a towel? And wait, something seemed off...he knew Zoe was about 5'4", and he was half a foot taller than her...why did she seem much closer to his height now?
"What the hell, Jon? I was taking a shower!" his sister yelled, hair soaking wet. He expected Zoe to say something about his dumb shirt, but her eyes kept staring at him angrily.
Usually Zoe's rage was enough to get him to back down. But for some reason, his mind wouldn't let it go. Why does SHE think she can boss me around?? I'm older, taller, smarter, better looking... Jon overlooked that last point as he felt something building inside him- genuine anger. Folding his arms, he spoke loudly.
"Could you BE any slower?! You know school starts in less than an hour! Does being a goth mean you love to waste everyone's time?"
"Jon, I-"
"Please, Zoe! I don't want to start a big argument with you. I just want you to think about other people sometimes! Instead of acting like such a...bitch!" Jon's eyes widened. Did this really bother him that much?
Zoe stood in shock for a brief moment before looking down at the ground. "You say that like you're not rude, but..." she mumbled, but not loud enough for Jon to hear. After a few more seconds, she faced Jon and sighed. "Sorry."
Jon was surprised, but in a good way. "Really?"
"Yeah. I've just been in a bad mood these last few days and taking a long shower helps me calm down."
"Well..." Jon's anger fizzled out, leaving only a light blush on his face. "I'm sorry you've been feeling like that. I'll try to pay more attention to your problems, if it helps."
Zoe gave a small smile. "That might help." Another moment passed before continuing. "I still have to brush my teeth, but you can come in and get started if you want."
Jon found that a little strange, considering she hadn't gotten dressed yet. "Uh...nah, it's fine. I'm over it now. You can go finish your routine, I'll wait."
His sister shrugged. "Suit yourself." She headed back into the bathroom and locked the door. After another five minutes, she left with her towel. "All yours."
"Thanks, Zoe," responded Jon. He headed inside to go brush his teeth.
