"Hang on Miss. Things might get a bit rough." The officer said.
Jon hung on as the police car chased the fleeing man.
Quickly two other police cars were in the area. "Stay in the car." The police officer said as he slammed on the brakes and jumped out of the barely stopped car.
Jon watched as the fleeing man ran off into a yard, the police officer right behind him.
About the only thing that Jon wanted less than to be surrounded by police while dressed as a girl, was to have the police after him for not obeying one of them.
About a half hour later a female police officer came up to the car. "Officer Jones asked if I would take you home. He will be busy with the robbery suspect. My patrol car is over this way."
Jon got out of the car and followed the female police officer.
"What were you doing out so late?" she asked Jon.
"A friend and I were doing out homework?"
"Your boyfriend?"
"No!" Jon answered a bit too fast. "Karyn and I are best friends."
"Don't worry. I am sure your boyfriend didn't mind, too much." The female officer teased what she thought was a teenage girl.
Jon struggled to maintain the appearance of a teenage girl as he rode home in the police car.
Remembering his manners, he thanked the police officer before going inside.
'I am glad that is over.' Jon thought. 'I don't know how much longer I could have pretended to be a girl.'
