Things change. It is the way things are. But, most of the time, they do not change in these ways. One has a certain magical stone to thank for that.
Jon and Karyn walked along, both having an unsettling feeling that something was wrong. Then suddenly, Jon paused, and looked up at Karyn.
"What?" She asked.
"Were you always taller than me?" Jon said, confused.
"As long as I can remember," Karyn said. She was about a head taller than Jon.
"Wasn't it the other way around?"
"Jon, who is going to go off wishing to change your height?" Karyn said. "That's kind of a silly wish, isn't it?"
He paused. "Look, I'm just..." he trailed off and blinked again. "Your clothes are different."
"Jon, I'm wearing the same thing I've been wearing all day. Are you sure you're feeling all right?" Karyn said. "I think this whole thing is starting to make you a little crazy."
"I guess..." if a wish had really been made, he wouldn't know anything about it, would he? "We'd better find the stone though..." He took another look at Karyn, and down at himself, frowning.
