Athena opened her mouth to speak. "Your aura is changing," she said. She'd never seen such a thing...it was shifting in hue...the other girl was practically glowing.
Sam looked back. "Aura? What?" He tried clearing his throat, but his voice, like the rest of him seemed to have gone...well, female. He looked at her, and saw the necklace around her neck. The charm on it glowed for a second, then stopped.
"Your aura...it surrounds you. It's like a beacon showing who you are. It isn't supposed to change...well, maybe if you had some kind of trauma, but..."
"It's going from blue to pink, probably," Sam muttered, feeling a bit annoyed. "I have to see myself in a mirror, will you come with me?"
"A mirror? Why?"
"You don't see anything happening to me?" Sam asked.
"I'm worrying about you," Athena said. "You are acting strange. But there's one in the bathroom."
Sam headed toward the bathroom, Athena following. "Wait...that's the men's room," she said, pulling him away from one door and toward the adjoining one. He let her guide him into the bathroom and toward the mirror.
Staring back at him, no her...was a pretty hot brunette girl with long legs. She was still wearing his t-shirt and jeans, but the cut was definitely different. He could see very well defined cleavage. At least it didn't look too big in the mirror. Sam felt like he was carrying around two giant melons, and kept fidgeting.
"Happy?" Athena asked.
"No...I just turned into a girl," Sam insisted. "Please, help me. Everything is changing and I can't stop it."
The floor began to shake subtly under Sam's feet, and the bathroom began to shift, old dirty tile changing into new gleaming white tiles. The sinks turned pristine, and there was even a handicap stall that hadn't been there before. It had become a whole new bathroom.
Athena looked around. "Something just happened...I can sense it." Apparently, she was aware things were going on.
"The bathroom changed...it looks brand new."
Athena blinked. "You're...right," the charm on her necklace flashed again.
"That necklace...it keeps flashing."
She reached for it. "My pendant...it is supposed to protect me from magic."
"Well, it isn't doing a good job."
"Give me your hand," she demanded.
Sam did it. Athena squeezed it, and closed her eyes, the other hand grasping her pendant. It was warm to her touch.
