Ever since he found this small wonder, this inconspicuous little stone, he was able to rid himself of all the people who had ever bullied him. And the two people at the top of his list were Biff Meadows and his bitchy girlfriend Sarah McMillan. But there were so many more.
And as he stood there, in the empty hall, he decided to reek his revenge on Amber Levine. Amber was a very special kind of annoyance for him. She was obsessed with being popular, and joined in the teasing with the other popular kids, but when she was alone, it seemed she could care less. People like him seemed invisible to her.
He sat behind her in fifth period, and had been in several classes with her, and had plenty of time to come to that conclusion.
He stroked his new toy. "I wish that from the time the bell rings until I will it to stop, Amber Levine would become perpetually anonymous and forgettable, without any changes to her appearance. No physical objects would change as a result of this wish, only people's perceptions. To further clarify my wish, people who have been picked on by Amber or a group that included Amber, myself excluded, will be affected in a slightly different way. They will still see her as anonymous, but be able to identify and form a new memory of her from this point forward. I further clarify that when I will this to stop, people's memories of Amber Levine will return, and there will be no evidence except my memory and hers of the time she spent as anonymous...it will be as if it never happened."
It was a very specific wish. Walter had tried not to leave anything to chance. His wish for Biff, the full effects of which had not yet been seen, had been just as specific. He'd outlined that one in steps. Biff was currently on step 2, where he was to further his humiliation by making friends and hanging out with the children in his new class.
He smiled as the stone flashed.
