Jon managed to grab the stone, just barely avoiding a kick to the head. He scurried out of the way as the horse rushed to fill the space Jon had just vacated. The horse continued to thrash wildly around the room, smashing furniture and unseen glass.
Thinking quickly, Jon made a wish. "I wish this horse was at a horse farm far away from here!"
And with that, the horse that had once been Steve 'The Stud' Farber disappeared. Jon breathed a sigh of relief.
"That was close." Jon said aloud. "Too close."
He was glad he had been able to come up with just the right wish to save himself. But now, he had to wonder just where he was.
He groped around the room until he found a light switch. Turning on the light switch, he found that he was in a basement.
The basement was now a shambles. Chairs, tables, and shelves had been smashed by the mad horse's thrashings. Broken beer bottles, board games, and old magazines littered the floor. A wooden staircase led up to a closed door.
From behind the door, Jon heard voices and footsteps. He realized the commotion had attracted attention.
