"I wish that Jon did not know anything about the rock." The rock glowed briefly. Jon turned to Karyn. "What did you say?"
"Nothing," replied Karyn with a smirk.
After school, Karyn said goodbye to Jon and went home. Jon wanted to stay, but Karyn said that she was feeling a little unwell. Really, she was so excited about the stone that she wanted to try out its powers. But she had to be careful - she had already learnt the hard way about the stone's abilities.
There was no-one in when Karyn got home. Her mother was still at work, and her big brother Alex was at football practice. Karyn went up to her room. What could she do first.
