Karyn and J. J. hit the mall like only a pair of teenage girls can do. Neither thought or noticed anything odd about the fact that J. J., a boy, was as interested in shopping as any teenage girl. But then, as Karyn had said, J. J. was only technically a boy and Karyn thought of him (and treated him) more like a girl.

The pair entered the mall near a trendy boutique that specialized in clothes for teenage girls. This store managed to stock clothes that most teenage girls like and their parents were willing to let them wear. In other words, Brittany Spears was not likely to shop there.

A sales woman approached the pair as they entered. "How may I help you?" She asked.

Karyn answered, "J. J. has money from baby sitting and is looking to buy some clothes."

The sales woman looked J. J. over. 'A bit of a shame.' She thought, 'How girls who don't feel that they conform to some over done standard, tend to dress down.' The sales woman assumed that J. J. was female.

But then why not. J. J.'s pony tail came out of the back of his head and cascaded over his feminine shoulders to a bit below his shoulder blades like a silky waterfall. His face still possess a bit of baby fat that made him look young and/or feminine. And of course, this store only sold clothes for girls; although there were a few boys who bought here (but that is a different story).

"What is your size?" The sales woman asked.

"I am a size seven, and I bet J. J. is about the same." Karyn answered.

"We have a very fine selection in your size. If you will follow me " She left her statement hanging as she led the two off toward racks of pants.

At first J. J. was a bit nervous about the whole affair, but he was soon in the mood and enjoying himself.

Karyn and J. J. tried on several pairs of jeans. While Karyn wanted J. J. to buy some of the brighter colored jeans, he balked at that idea. He did finally give in and bought some stretch jeans without any back pockets. Karyn even talked J. J. into wearing one of new pairs of jeans out of the store; along with a new top that she also talked him into wearing.

J. J.'s new jeans were tight and stretchy; they hid the fact that he was a he, presenting a very feminine appearance from his thin waist, down. Coupled with his new, feminine (but baggy) top, and other factors, no one would consider J. J. anything but a teenage girl.

Carrying bags filled with new clothes, the pair then continued to shop, stopping at every store that sold clothes for teenage girls. Although they didn't buy any more clothes, that didn't stop the pair from trying on lots of different clothes.

Several hours later, the pair stopped in the food court for a soda. While sipping their diet sodas, Karyn began to talk about the various boys who were here mainly to 'girl watch'.

"I don't agree with you that that guy is so sexy." J. J. said, commenting on Karyn's choice.

"Then which one do you think is sexy?" Karyn asked.

"Well " J. J. began, thinking and observing the boys. "None of them really 'light my fire'," he continued, "however, that one over by the water fountain looks has a sexy body, but I don't like his face."

"I agree with you." Karyn said. "Use a bag and it wouldn't be bad to be with him."

"True, but I don't think I'd like to kiss a guy who was wearing a bag." J. J. said. then pointing out another guy, "That guy over getting a pizza is almost as sexy looking, but his face is a lot better looking, if he would only shave."

"You wouldn't like to kiss a guy with a beard?"

"Maybe a full beard, but not a short bristly beard, it would be more like kissing a sheet of sand paper." J. J. commented. Then, as if remembering that he was really a guy, he added, "Not that I would kiss a guy."

Karyn gave J. J. a smile, but didn't press the issue.

Having finished their sodas, the pair returned to shopping. Karyn led J. J. into a funky store that sold all sorts of trendy stuff.

"Look, J. J., we can get our ears pierced for free. Let's do it."

"Your ears are already pierced." J. J. said.

"But only once." Karyn said. "I have always wanted a second piercing. Let's do it."

In spite of J. J.'s uncertainty, he soon found himself sitting in the chair as the sales woman pierced his ears, twice each ear.

As she finished with his last piercing, the sales woman said, "Guys love girls with double pierced ears."

J. J. held his tongue and forgot the comment as Karyn came up with some cute necklaces and bracelets. "What do you think of these?"

"They would look great on you." J. J. said, allowing Karyn to lead him over to the counter with the jewelry.

Soon the pair were looking and giggling about the jewelry. By the time they left the store, J. J. had bought two finger rings, a necklace, a bracelet, an anklet, and a toe ring to compliment his newly pierced ears.

The pair made it to J. J.'s home a bit before dinner time.

"Did you two have fun?" J. J.'s mother asked as the pair entered the house. Seeing the smiles on the pair of friends faces she added, "I can see you did. What did you buy?"

J. J. was soon describing everything that he and Karyn had bought. J. J.'s mother was a bit concerned about how much fun her son was having doing girlie things. 'But then he has always looked and acted more like a girl than a boy.' She thought to herself, accepting what she couldn't change.

The three of them quickly made dinner after J. J. had showed his mother everything.

J. J. and Karyn helped clean up the kitchen after dinner before retiring to J. J.'s bedroom.

"You need to wear different underwear." Karyn said as she observed J. J. modeling his new clothes.

"What is wrong with my underwear?" J. J. asked. "I have always worn this style."

"Styles change girlfriend." Karyn said. "I have just the thing." Karyn said, digging into her bag. "Just the thing." She said, pulling out a package of panties. "Here." She said, handing the package to J. J.

"These?" J. J. asked. "They are panties."

"So." Karyn said. "I wear them."

"But you are a girl."

"Don't go sexist on me, girlfriend." Karyn said. "They are just like guy's jockey shorts."

"I'm not sure " J. J. began.

"Oh, don't be a prude. Try them on. If you don't agree that they look better, then you won't have to wear them; okay?"

"I guess." J. J. said, not totally convinced.

"Okay, girlfriend; change." Karyn said.

"Here?" J. J. asked.

"Sure. We are best friends, aren't we?"

"Yes." J. J. agreed, then he lowered his jeans and, turning his back to Karyn, dropped his boxer shorts and then pulled on one of the pairs of panties Karyn gave him.

The panties were medium control, up-lifting panties, and they pulled his feminine tush into a more sexy shape. Neither he nor Karyn noticed that they also compressed his tiny penis into a very feminine looking front, leaving no indication that he was male.

He then pulled on his new jeans and looked at himself in the mirror.

"Admit it J. J., you look better now, don't you?"

"I agree, I do look better. They feel a bit confining, but it is a good feeling." J. J. commented on the panties he was wearing.

"Keep the rest of the package, J. J.." Karyn said.

"Thanks." J. J. said.

The pair then settled down to do what girls normally do during sleep overs.
