She knew that both she and Jon had made an agreement that they would not use the rock to change things, but he was having such a hard time dealing with the transformation. She thought about wishing him back to male, but knew that it would take too much of the rocks power to erase that tragic accident from everyone's minds. She figured that the next best thing would be to make him become more accepting of the changes and help him just move on.
She thought about it, and knowing that he would hate her for doing it, she knew that she could not let him live like this forever. Jon was her best friend, but now he was Joan. She had to support her, but she knew that if he continued to think of himself as Jon, and not Joan, he would never be happy.
She decided that she wanted Jon to be happy with being Joan, and not to consider it a punishment that he was dealt by the hands of life. Instead, she wanted him to think of being Joan as a blessing, and that it was what was meant to be. She did not want him to all of the sudden change, so she wished that it would over the period of the next 2 weeks he would become more accepting, but she built in a rule that allowed her to edge Joan on quicker as Joan would listen to anything Karyn told her to do.
Karyn finished her wish and got Joan and headed down to tell Joan's mom that they were going out. Joan felt a little strange, but thought of it as just being the excitement of the whole situation. After all, it is not every day that a guy becomes the girl he could have born, wishes some very expensive clothing from a lingerie catalog for his new feminine body, and then goes out shopping with an equally as sexy dressed girlfriend. Karyn was going to take charge of this little shopping adventure.
Joan's mom was so happy that Karyn had gotten Joan to go out, and dressed so pretty. She felt such a relief that things might someday become normal. She had feared that Jon would never be ok with his new life, but she now knew as time went on, things would be ok.
