Karyn left the Crypt and Jon to whatever it was she was doing. He would have to remember to ask Jon about it when they got back. But first he had to get to Tara and Willow's place. As he walked he left Brendan Cemetery and headed down South Street. He didn't think he needed to hurry as Dawn wouldn't try the spell until tomorrow. As Karyn passed the Hospital he saw that Ben was talking to Jynx, Glory's henchman.
He watched as Ben tried to brush off Jynx's questioning, but as Karyn knew, Ben let it slip that the Key was in Human form. Ben then stabbed Jynx to silence him, and then left in his car. Karyn saw this as a chance to turn the show in a different direction. In regular continuity, Jynx would survive the attack and return to Glory and reveal that the Key is a person. Karyn jumped in front of Ben's car, causing him to stop.
"What are you doing?" Ben asked as he stopped the car and got out.
"You had better finish the job you started, if you want your secret to stay safe." Karyn said in his best broodingly sinister voice.
"Look," Ben said nervously looking over his shoulder where he left Jynx. "I, Uh... don't know what you're talking about, but..."
"Don't play the fool with me... BEN" Karyn said, still trying to sound mysterious. "You may think you've dispatched the disciple, but he yet lives, and..."
"ARGHH!!" Ben groaned as she grabbed his stomach and bent over. Karyn thought Ben was injured and when he went toward him to check, he saw Ben's hair cascade down in streaks of Blonde. Before Karyn knew what had happened, Glory stood up, wearing Ben's clothes still. Karyn almost fell over in shock as Glory looked at him.
"And who are you?" Glory demanded.
"Your worst Nightmare." Karyn growled. But before Karyn could even ball up a fist, Glory backhanded Karyn, sending him through the windshield of Ben's car.
"Yeer... Yeh... Your Glor... Glorificus!" a meek voice cried from behind Glory.
"What?" Glory turned in shock as she saw her most loyal disciple laying in his own blood.
